Located at Solaris Dutamas, Urbano e Fresco is an urban stylish restaurant without much heavy decoration. The relaxing ambience is just nice for any occasions of dining, be it a quick meal, chit chat session with couple friends, or a group of celebration.
With success of 3 outlets opening in Europe, the group decided to bring in this Italian food and ambience concept to Asia, and choosing Malaysia as its headquarter.
Urbano e Fresco has a simple and direct a la carte menu, with commitment to use only the best quality ingredients in the cooking. To ensure the good taste of food is not compromised, they specially imported some of the hard-to-find ingredients like sauces, herbs, olive oil, and etc all the way from Italy. The restaurant owner even shares these good stuffs with their customers at a relatively fair price so that they can cook the nice and healthy Italian dishes as well at own home.
Caprese Salad (RM32.90)
Even a simple appetizer like Caprese Salad, sliced of fresh buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes and garnished with extra virgin olive oil and basil, but when using fresh and good ingredients, it amazed me.
For non heavy cheese lover, don’t be afraid of the big sliced of buffalo mozzarella. It does not has the usual strong flavor, in fact, when eat together with the sliced tomato, you will get a very nice combination of sweet juicy soft texture.
Love the toasted crunchy pannini bread. Topped with garlic, fresh tomatoes, onions, and fresh basil leaves, chef drizzled the extra virgin olive oil on it before served to keep the overall moist and fragrance.
A nice plate of simple and healthy salad, Spinaci, with lots of fresh baby spinach, feta cheese, strawberries and almond flakes topped with balsamic vinegar dressing. Like how the sweet and sourness of strawberry taste kinda opened up my palate for more scrumptious foods during that meal.
Roma Pizza (9″ RM31.90, 12″ RM38.90, 15″ RM43.90)
Urbano e Fresco offers a long list of different flavor pizzas that come in 3 sizes, 9″, 12″ and 15″ to satisfy the demand from both individual and group diners.
We tried the Roma Pizza, with Urbano e Fresco’s signature tomato sauce as base, and topped with mozzarella cheese, roasted steak strips, button mushroom, red onion, and capsicum.
Not the very thin crispy type, but still within my liking, I suppose when every ingredients are fresh and good, the taste of food can be rest assured.
Aglio Olio (RM21.90)
Urbano e Fresco certainly knows how to prepare their pasta delicious using the fresh ingredients and good herbs. Cooked with garlic, rocket salad, mushroom, and Parmesan Cheese, a generous amount of extra virgin olive oil was poured in as well to make this plate of Aglio Olio diffusing the tempting aromatic smell and taste.
Pesto Italian Spaghetti (RM26.90)
Here’s another different variety of Urbano e Fresco’s pasta offerings, Pesto Italian Spaghetti, which cooked with succulent tiger prawns, juicy cherry tomato, Parmesan cheese, and tossed with the Pesto sauce. It was as appetizing as the earlier Aglio Olio. Nice!
Chicken Milanese (RM25.90)
Deep fried breaded chicken till golden brown crisp on the outside, it was quite nice to eat together with the choice of mushroom sauce or mustard. Served together with rocket salad, cherry tomatoes, shaved Parmesan cheese, and baked potato wedges, a plate of balance and filling dish that goes well with everyone taste buds.
We ended our meal with the signature classic dessert in Italian cuisine, the loveable Tiramisu. Taste just nice not too sweet for me, I really enjoyed its light and creamy texture. Gracefully one spoonful follow by another, it was that addicitve and I nearly ordered the second one thinking to satisfy my cravings.
