With ample dining space, Maple Fish Pot Restaurant is divided into 2 sections, the air-conditioning and al-fresco areas. Gone the usual perception of a steamboat restaurant that is stuffy and lack of cleanliness, upon entering the Maple Fish Pot Restaurant, customers are welcomed by the tastefully interior design in warm tone with classy wooden furniture.
Diners mostly come here for their signature steamboat set. The secret to the taste loved by many lies in their secret recipe grouper fish soup base. Boiled daily for almost 4 hours with stuffs like pork bone, chicken bone, and fish bone, you can be rest assured that the taste is so rich in freshness with natural sweetness from the ingredients cooked, it can definitely whet any palate even the pickiest.
Carnation milk was added upon serving to thicken the soup with a fragrant creamy and milky taste. For customers who do not like the taste of carnation milk can choose not to pour in.

A simple and refreshing appetizer with chicken meat floss placed on top of the crunchy Japanese cucumber. The light mayonnaise sauce gave a nice contrast in texture with little hint of sourness blended to the overall taste.

This steamboat set can serves 2-4 pax is priced at RM88++, with ingredients like Fried Grouper, Fresh Grouper Fillet, Fresh Prawn, Fish Stomach, Black Mushroom, Beancurd Stick, Tofu, Enoki Mushroom, Chinese Cabbage, Yao Mak, Water Spinach, Fried Yam, and Mee Hoon.
The grouper fish soup base was so wonderful till we had few rounds of refill, which by the way there is no additional charge for that. My favorite was to have the mee hoon cooked in last round so that it can soak well all the essence of taste from the flavorsome soup.
For those who prefer some spicy kick, Maple Fish Pot offers another option for customers to choose which is the tom yam flavor.

We ordered few more ingredients from the a la carte menu on top of the steamboat set.

If you are into the caramelized char siew, Maple Fish Pot’s version of bbq pork should be in your trying list too. Marinated with maltose sugar, it gives a very nice and smooth sweet taste without much clogging texture.

Truly enjoy my dessert moment with this Grapefruit Mango Sago that served in a fresh coconut. Not too overwhelm sweet, it has a nice creamy texture with hint of the fragrance mango taste.

Black Glutinous Rice with Ice Cream (RM8.90)

Dessert made from black glutinous rice has always been my favorite for its nutritious benefit. Served together with a scope of vanilla ice cream, it gave the dessert a nice creamy texture, and added a mild sweetness vanilla taste to it.
