Previously known as Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant (PJ), The Elite Seafood Restaurant is now open to diners after an extensive round of refurbishment and rebranding.

Despite its name change, the restaurant still maintains the same unique characteristics that have long made Ah Yat the favorite among seafood enthusiasts.

Owned by Unique Seafood Group of Restaurants – one of Malaysia’s largest suppliers of live seafood – diners can rest assure that there is always a fresh and abundant supply of seafood at the restaurant. Staying true to its concept ‘Flavours of The Elite’, the full-service restaurant offers only the freshest seafood – right from the sea. Besides the more common choices of live seafood, diners can also choose from rarer ones such as French Turbots, Australian Snow Crabs, Alaskan Spider Crabs and Canadian Geoduck Clams.

The restaurant’s excellent team of chefs hailing from as far as China, Hong Kong and Singapore are here ready to take care the entire diner’s needs, offering a large variety of dishes that range from meats to vegetables to, of course, seafood. It is undoubtedly appeal to diners from all walks of life.

Boasting an elegant and spacious design, the restaurant’s central hall makes for a comfortable dining experience. From intimate family dinners to business or annual company dinners, you can entertain your guests in a perfect setting that is bound to make them feel right at home. The restaurant is also an excellent venue for weddings and birthday parties.

Portuguese Roast Piglet served with Hokkaido Crab Leg Avocado Salad

Such a lovely way to kick off the meal with this wonderful appetizer. Serving two different foods separately, one is the hot dish, a carved out cirspy Portuguese roast piglet placed on top of a bite-sized bun, while another one is the cold dish, shredded cabbage salad mixed together with the exotic fresh Hokkaido crab leg’s flesh in light mayonnaise sauce and mashed avocado paste.

Double-boiled Chicken Soup in Coconut

Served in coconut, this clear double-boiled chicken soup with nutritious sea coconut and lotus seed has a very light flavor with hint of natural sweetness from the coconut itself.

Prawn in Two Varieties with Fish Roe

Beautifully plated, the prawns were served in two varieties with fish roe on top as garnishment, and placed on top a bite-sized flaky pastry that to me was just nice in taste without being too buttery.

The black colored prawn was from the added charcoal powder, while the other one was remain in original fresh taste.

Braised Abalone with Sea Cucumber and Mushroom

One of the must-try highlighted signature dishes of The Elite Seafood Restaurant is this divine Braised Abalone with Sea Cucumber and Mushroom, which to me the aromatic gravy had successfully enlightened the overall taste, just nice in balance, not too starchy nor too salty.

Fried Beef with Mushroom and Liquor

Soft and tender, chef fried the beef slices and mushroom with Cointreau, a triple sec liquor that made from the dried peels of bitter and sweet orange. It gives the dish a nice mild orange-flavored sweetness.

Fried Rice with Spinach Juice

Simple at its best, a healthier option of fried rice with spinach juice for the nice color and light earthy flavor. Chef cooked it together with prawns and slices of fish to have that extra bite texture.

Baked Egg Tart with Bird’s Nest

A taste of luxurious! Chef added a generous amount of the superior bird’s nest on top of a freshly baked bite-sized egg tart, which to me was truly a pampered with its remarkably flavorsome in smooth and creamy texture.
