Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel was thrilled to showcase their Festival Menus at Sagano Japanese Restaurant and Dynasty Restaurant (non-halal) in conjunction with the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival 2014.
Themed ‘Red Hot Chefs’ this year, their RED HOT culinary talents – Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin at Dynasty will present a beautifully crafted 4-course Cantonese fare while Chef de Cuisine Michael Koh at Sagano will serve a flavorsome 4-course Japanese cuisine that will captivate your senses throughout October!

At Dynasty Restaurant, Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin amazed diners with a Festival Menu that captured the finest flavors of Cantonese cuisine. Year after year, the jovial Chef Kin had plated up an impressive Festival Menu for guests of MIGF, and 2014 promised to be no different!
Diners frequenting Dynasty can expect to see that appreciation for elegant, healthy Asian simplicity reflected in the stunning creations from Chef Kin, including dishes such as :

Featuring trio appetizers in a beautifully plated summer-garden alike presentation, we savored the pan-fried crispy Dragon Beard Prawn with green tea sauce to compliment its flavor; stuffed Peking Duck with sweet sourish tangy plum sauce; seared to perfection Hokkaido Scallop in juicy plump texture; and garnished surrounding with small Shimeji mushrooms and editable flowers.
It was truly a delightful dish that made for an opening to remember!

Served warm, this exquisite clear soup consommé was prepared together with premium ingredients such as the ginseng, white radish, asparagus, mushroom and fish maw, leaving trails of clean herbally aftertaste that was not too overpowering.

Diners were delighted with the highlight of this main dish, the 4-head whole abalone stewed in superior stock, perfectly nice in meaty texture, awesome!
Paired with drunken chicken timbale that complemented its flavors with spicy oil and sesame, this well-matched combination was beautifully plated with chestnuts and fruit jujubes at side to thrill both the eyes and appetite.

Simple dish with heart-warming taste, paired with gorgeous steamed king prawn with Chinese wine, the wheat vermicelli had soaked up really well all the essence from the aromatic prawn broth, but better eat fast while it served warm as the vermicelli can turns to mush pretty fast.

We concluded our MIGF gastronomic journey here at Dynasty with this refreshing plate of duo desserts, chilled and creamy organic pumpkin puree with sago and nutritious bird nest, as well as the refreshing ice cream in tropical coconut flavor with sweet crunchy candy slice filled with nuts.
