Thanks to the lovely invitation, my colleague and I went to Grandmama’s at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur recently to try out their newly launched ‘Mama-licious Meal’ promotion.
Remember the younger days with your grandma always in the kitchen to ensure the best food served on the table? She is our ‘Cooking Queen’. At Grandmama’s, we serve authentic Malaysian food in depict of our nostalgic memory of her culinary skills and passions. She has whizzed across the world on her trusty Harley Davidson to spread the joys of Malaysian food. Grandmama’s invites you to explore her recipe through our menu in union of the collections.

Available all day, the ‘Mama-licious Meal’ promotion featured 6 varieties to satisfy the different taste buds of their customers. You can now tantalize your palate with Grandmama’s delights in one meal that consists of 3 appetizers, soup, main dish, rice and dessert of the day.
* Deep Fried Boneless Chicken (RM26)
* Seafood Curry Hot Pot (RM29)
* Fried Cencaru Fish stuffed with Nyonya Sambal Belacan (RM29)
* Wok Fried Beef with Homemade Sauce (RM28)
* Stir Fried Sambal Prawns and Squid Petai (RM32)
* Chicken Kurma Curry (RM26)
I love these two sets that served with appetizing and enticing main dishes, the deep fried boneless chicken basted in my favorite zesty barbecue sauce, and seafood curry hot pot that rich in ‘lemak’ flavor, till I can have a bowl of rice even just with the gravy alone.
The 3 appetizers and dessert of the day.

Nasi Ayam Istimewa (RM22)
One of the best sellers here at Grandmama’s, this plate of irresistible dish came with tri-colored rice, assam prawns, beef rendang and deep fried chicken drumstick. I love everything that served on this plate, the chicken’s skin was fried till so crispy, while the assam prawns as well as beef rendang were so rich in flavor and matched perfectly well with the yellowish fragrant rice. Recommended!

Sang Har Crystal Noodles Soup (RM25)
Your cravings for prawn noodles are sure to be satisfied with Grandmama’s Sang Har Crystal Noodles Soup. Using their superb recipe, the fresh-water prawn broth was light but absolutely rich in taste, a perfect blend with the smooth flat-rice noodles.
*****
Cendol (RM8)
Big enough for sharing, this chilled cooling dessert was served with generous amount of cendol and corn that fully covered on top the fine shaved ice. Diners can pour the gula Melaka syrup before mixed it all together to adjust the sweetness based on your own preference.
