Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently visited baci Italian Cafe that located inside the Citta Mall Ara Damansara for their latest revamped food menu. baci served a wide array of Italian-inspired cafe style food from gourmet handmade sandwich and salad, which diners get to pick their favorite toppings and ingredients, to tasty pizza, pasta, soup and cake.
Inspired by the European coffee culture, baci’s concept was based on the essence of a typical Italian-styled cafe in a neighborhood setting. Furnished with wooden fixtures, an open kitchen and indoor as well as alfresco seating, baci was a cozy and friendly place ideal for the casual gathering at any day of the week.
Tiramisu Flavored Latte (RM11.90)
baci served quality Italian coffee, the Lavazza coffee, freshly brewed and tastefully handcrafted by specially-trained baristas with their own flair and creativity.
Build Your Own Salad (RM18.90)
Customers can pick your favorites and build your own version of delicious salad here at baci.
First, pick the base, Romaine, Mesclun or Butter Lettuce. For the contents, pick 1 from Beef Bacon, Chicken Breast, Turkey Ham, Shrimp, Smoked Salmon, Artichoke, Avocado, Boiled Egg, Black Olives, Cheddar Cheese or Roasted Peppers (additional RM3 for each extra selection), and pick 3 from Broccoli, Carrot, Crouton, Cucumber, Cashew Nut, Egg Plant, Green Peas, Mushroom, Potatoes, Red Onions or Tomato (additional RM2 for each extra selection).
Last but not least, choose Caesar, Italian Dressing, Honey Mustard, Sicilian or Olive Oil Balsamic Vinegar as your salad dressing. Yummy!
Spicy Chicken Sandwich (RM16.90)
Fancy a stronger flavor for your sandwich? Try this, served together with fresh romaine, tomato slices and onions between homemade Ciabatta spread with wholegrain mustard mayo, chef marinated the sliced chicken breast with baci special spiced sauce that made of cumin, spicy sauce and chili flakes before grilled it to juicy perfection.
Smoked Beef Bacon Sandwich (RM16.90)
Appetizing smoked beef bacon with fresh tomato slices and arugula sandwiched between the homemade Ciabatta bread.
Smoked Duck Pizza (RM20.90)
Love this 9″ hand-tossed thin crust base pizza with simple yet flavorful ingredients. Layered with creamy Alfredo sauce topped with pieces of smoked duck breast, fresh cubes of capsicum and tomatoes on a bed of melted mozzarella cheese, chef sprinkled some chili flakes for the extra tingling sensation.
Spicy Shrimp Aglio Olio (RM17.90)
One of baci’s top sellers, this spicy pasta was served together with plump beautiful butterfly shrimps, artichoke, black olives and tomatoes then tossed in fragrant garlic onion olive oil. Finished off with sprinkled of chili flakes and parsley to garnish the dish, a slice of toasted garlic bread was served as well to complete the true Italian experience.
Chicken and Mushroom Pie (RM18.90)
Be transported to gastronomic heaven with my favorite dish of the night, this hearty pie with rich creamy sauce that loaded with 2 hours slow-cooked goodness was topped with beautiful puffy pastry.
How to eat? Just scoop the pastry into the savory thick broth that cooked together with leek, chicken breast, mushrooms, carrots, chat potatoes, green peas and a dash of Italian herbs. Soft pastry soaked up well all the wonderful essence, oh I love it!
Oxtail Stew (RM23.90)
Whet your appetite further with the baci’s classic, a hearty stew slowed cooked within 4 hours with ingredients like carrots, celery and juicy oxtail in a flavorful beef stock.
Served together with warm garlic mash potato beneath the oxtail stew and a slice of toasted Tuscan bread on side, it was such a lip-smacking dish that wows everyone taste buds.
Scrumptious Banana Layer Cake (RM12.50)
Happiest Rainbow Cake (RM15.50)
Heavenly Tartufo (RM19.50)
