What’s the fun and interesting way to learn the history of Malacca during your trip here? I recently visited Melaka Alive and was truly enjoyed its 5D theatre presentation to showcase the extravaganza tale of Panglima Awang.

Operated by Neuvo Attraction & Destination Sdn Bhd, Melaka Alive combines the elements of theatre and history against a sophisticated technology laden background to transport visitors back into the Golden Ages of Malacca.

The first of its kind in Asia, with live fire, wind, water, earth special effects, immersive light and sound show to create the spectacular world class 5D experience, boasting a new concept as tourist attraction in the historical rich Malacca.

With the aim to become the lead attraction for cultural tourism in Malaysia, visitors from all over the country and worldwide can immerse themselves in the experience and come to appreciate the complex diversity and colours of Malaysia through it’s intricate history.

Set on board a ship-inspired stage, Melaka Alive brought the story of Panglima Awang to life in a play that combines spectacular visuals, effects, music and live acting. The play is to tell the story of Melaka’s rich and diverse history, from the establishment of the city by its founder Parameswara to its fall at the hands of the Portuguese.

The performance also highlights the legend of the Mouse Deer and the Dogs, the arrival of Admiral Cheng Ho’s fleet and the coming of de Sequiera and de Albuquerque to the shores of the Malacca kingdom.

It is a MUST-GO-PLACE! History comes alive here on every Thursday till Sunday and Malaysia Gazetted Public Holidays, with 2 shows per day available on 7.30 pm and 9 pm. Ticket pricing for adult is RM35 (with Mykad) and RM45 (without Mykad), child between 4 to 12 years old is RM20 (with Mykad) and RM28 (without Mykad), while senior citizen 60 years old and above is RM20.

Melaka Alive is very easy and convenient to reach. Surrounded by few heritage buildings (Stadthuys Victoria Fountain, St. Paul Hill and A’ Famosa), Muzium Samudera and the happening Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall, you can set your GPS N 2.191261 E 102.250725 to locate the exact destination of Melaka Alive.
