Thanks to the wonderful invite, I recently get to sample few signature dishes that are going to be served at the GTower Kuala Lumpur’s Ramadan Buffet Dinner, which will starts from 20 June till 14 July 2015. The tantalizing Ramadan Buffet will be serving traditional Malaysian cuisine with live cooking stations assuring the retention of natural taste and freshness of dishes.
GTower Kuala Lumpur will present a buffet spread that boasts a plethora of local specialty under the tutelage of Chef Sherry who has more than 20 years of gastronomical experience in traditional Malaysian cuisine. Worked as Senior Sous Chef at GTower Kuala Lumpur, Chef Sherry is very passionate in authentic Malaysian delicacies. Her synergy of knowledge in traditional Malaysian food and passion has assure the propagation of traditional recipe in a very traditional way.
Offering a wide range of selection from appetizer to dessert in four different menus, the buffet showcases mixed salads, meat, seafood, hot dishes in clay-pot and assortment of desserts. More to mention, the signature dishes of this sumptuous feast, the Sup Tulang Rawan, Ayam Percik Istimewa and Kambing Bakar Enak are available at live cooking station which will sure to please the guests with a penchant for traditional local spices delicacies.
Kerabu Pucuk Paku
For starters, appetizers on the spread cover an assortment of Mixed Salad & Kerabu Pucuk Paku, Sambal Dressing, Keropok & Papadom, Ikan Masin & Telur Masin, Jeruk Buah-buahan & Kurma and a healthy selection of Ulam-ulaman. The clay-pot hot dishes menu which will be offered in weekly basic comprise of the rice selection such as Nasi Briyani, Fragrant Rice, Nasi Ulam and etc. Selection of meat inclusive of Ayam Panggang Berempah, Daging Masak Hitam and Daging Salai Masak Lemak Cili Api whereas the selection of seafood are Sambal Udang Petai, Ikan Pari Bakar Asam, Tenggiri Masak Asam Pedas and etc.

“The Ramadan Buffet Dinner offer a large variety of Malay traditional cuisine which prepared from the freshnest ingredients”, said Chef Sherry. “As Ramadan is one of the most sacred occasions in Malaysia so I would like to take this opportunity to introduce GTower Ramadan Buffet to you. Hope that you will enjoy the flavorful feast that we have prepared”, she added.
To add up to the highlight of the buffet, live cooking stations are serving noodles with robust flavors like Mee Rebus Rasa Pilihan and Mihun Soup Utara. Meanwhile Rojak Singapura and the traditional Popiah Basah are also available and will be prepared upon request!
Guests may mark a sweet ending of evening by heading to the station with local flavorsome Ais Kacang Segar and Cendol along with traditional village style Ubi Rebus Sambal dan Kelapa Parut and five different types of traditional Malay’s kuih-muih.
