Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently get to sample few new scrumptious additions of Brotzeit’s lunch, dinner and bar bite’s menus.

Be it for business or pleasure, Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant offers authentic German cuisine and premium biers from the Paulaner family, within its modern and contemporary setting. Indeed, it is the ideal place to experience Germany at its finest!

*****

Daily lunch specials are served from Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays) 11 a.m. till 3 p.m., with choices like Oven Roasted Chicken, Bavarian Meatballs, Lumberjack Pork Steak, Roasted Pork, Mixed Sausage Plate, Fish / Chicken & Chips and Chili Con Carne.

For a more complete meal, diners will be getting a complimentary dessert when Soup (additional RM5) or Salad (additional RM7) is ordered together with a lunch plate.

Diners can also add on RM5 for a cup of coffee, tea or a glass of chilled juice with any lunch plate ordered.

Foot-long Currywurst (RM16.50)

Brotzeit served some of the best German sausages around town, and your cravings are sure to be satisfied with this 12″ long juicy chicken Frankfurter with chef’s palatable chili curry sauce.

*****

Gypsy Belly Bacon Carbonara (RM17.50)

What I like about this simple comfort dish was the texture of German handmade short egg pasta, cooked till perfection in creamy carbonara style together with bacon and crispy onions to give more flavors.

*****

Chili Con Carne (RM16)

Cooked with minced pork meat, kidney beans and lots of corn, it paired wonderfully with the homemade German short egg pasta. Flavorful in taste with slightly spicy, it did open up my appetite during lunch hour in the dull afternoon.

*****

Available daily from 6 pm onwards, indulge in delectable dinner creations by Chef Helmut, which includes Farmer’s Plate, German Hot Dog, Bavarian Pork Belly, Quarter Ribs, Pork & Bacon Burger, and Pork Cutlet.

Farmer’s Plate (RM46)

Not sure what to order? This Farmer’s Plate would be the best recommendation because you can try a medley of Brotzeit’s signatures, which includes Gypsy belly bacon, roast pork, meatballs, pork cheese sausage and bacon with mash and sauerkraut. My favorite would be the succulent pork meatballs cooked in honey rib sauce, so enticingly good!

*****

You must try their draft bier Paulaner when you come to Brotzeit. All biers served at Brotzeit are brewed according to the German Purity Law of 1516, 100% natural, made with pure spring water and imported from Germany.

Original Munchner Urtyp
Paulaner’s best-selling Munich lager in the world. Clean, hoppy nose with a clear golden colour.
Alc 5.5%, Original Gravity 12.5°

Hefe – Weissbier
The No. 1 Weissbier in Germany. A typical bier from Munich, which is top fermented, unfiltered and made with wheat malt. Naturally cloudy with vitamins and hints of banana.
Alc 5.5%, Original Gravity 12.5°

Dunkel Hefe – Weissbier
A full bodied bier from Munich, which is chestnut-brown, naturally cloudy, top fermented and unfiltered, made with roasted wheat malt.
Alc 5.3%, Original Gravity 12.5°

Original Munchner Dunkel Lager
A dark lager bier from Munich with characteristic ruby brown hue from caramel malts and is filled with rich malt sweetness.
Alc 5%, Original Gravity 12.5°

Can’t decide which flavor to try? Experience all 4 draft biers with this Paulaner Bier Sampler (RM33.90), life is just so simple!

Sometimes I wonder, how would the taste like if you mix beer with other flavored drinks? Well, these Bier Mixes that are available at Brotzeit will definitely be an unforgettable tasting experience!

* Affensaft, Weissbier with Banana Syrup or Mango Juice
* Radler (Cyclist), Original Munchner Lager with Lemonade
* Russ’n, Weissbier with Lemonade
* Bayrischer Longdrink, Original Munchner Lager with Vodka and Lime Juice
* Benzin, Original Munchner Lager with Vodka
* Churchill, Original Munchner Lager with Campari
* Apfelbier, Original Munchner Lager with Apple Juice

*****

Introducing Chef Helmut’s German bar bites that served daily from 3 pm till 6 pm. Perfect with an aperitif, wine, bubby or bier, these 13 different bar bites are just nice to satisfy your afternoon snack craving.

Pigs In Blanket (RM20)

Served with spicy wedges at side, chef wrapped the succulent pork cheese sausages with savory bacon and cooked till golden brown perfection, went so heavenly with my glass of Paulaner bier!

*****

Honey Glazed Chicken Fillet (RM17)

Served with a pot of crispy fries, chef glazed the succulent pieces of chicken fillet with his unique honey sauce that delivered satisfying and aromatic flavours with every bite.

German food huh? That’s something new to the table. It looks delicious but the portion looks tiny. Is it enough? I can’t say that I’m a massive eater, but I’m no small bird either. Brotzeit looks promising, but maybe just a little pricey and little for me.
