Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently get to sample few new creations from IPPUDO Malaysia’s quarterly promotion.
Starting from 6 July till 30 Sept 2015, these new seasonal chef specials are only available at Pavilion KL and The Gardens Mall outlets only. Come and give this delicious unique ramen a taste!
Tokushima Ramen (RM25++)
Cooked in chicken and pork broth that mixed together with Kyushu dark soy sauce for that rich savory flavor, my bowl of July’s special Tokushima Ramen was served with generous toppings such as Butabara (sliced pork belly) that simmered in onion fused soy sauce, Negi (chopped green onions) and Menma (bamboo shoots).
What’s so unique about Tokushima Ramen was the raw egg that placed on top to enhance the wonderful broth’s complexity. Alternatively, you can also ask for soft-boiled egg if you don’t really fancy the raw egg.
Cheese Mentaiko Gyoza (RM17)
Combining two of my favorites, gyoza and mentaiko sauce, chef lightly torched the melted cheese, a combination of Mozzarella, Cheddar and milk, to give it more flavor and texture in each bite. The taste was so heavenly, it’s bound to leave you wanting more!
Kimuchi Tofu with Boiled Pork (RM13)
Served warm, chef topped the soft tofu with spicy kimuchi pork slices and lots of leek to create the nice balance of spicy sourish taste. An interesting healthy appetizer with crunchy bites from the tempura flakes.
Salmon Fish & Chips (RM23)
Deep fried salmon with homemade tartar sauce, and crunchy potato wedges drizzled with spicy Thai chili sauce and sour cream served at another side of the plate. Perfect to go with beer, one is definitely not enough!
