*****

Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently got to sample a really nice spread of authentic Thai delicacies at a comfortable homey restaurant located in Section 17 Petaling Jaya. Dishes here are reasonably priced without putting a hole in your wallet.

*****

Sinful Fried Chicken Salad

Named ‘Larb Gai Tod’ in Thai, this appetizing salad was one of Cafe 9’s latest offering in their new menu. An enticing creation from chef with spicy sourish taste, which combines the tender chicken thigh, lime, chilli, onion, coriander, mint leaves and crushed peanuts.

House Special Prawn Cakes

I love their firm prawn cake that served together with plum sauce. The outer layer was wrapped with Thai bread crumbs for extra crunchy texture when you have a bite. Made freshly from their kitchen every day, chef blended and marinated the fresh prawns first before store it in refrigerator, and will deep fry it till golden brown perfection upon customer’s order.

*****

Tom Yum Seafood

Whether it is red soup or clear soup, lovers of Thai cuisine should not miss this tom yum seafood when you dine at Cafe 9. Red soup with coconut milk, red chilli flake and chilli oil has more oomph and rich in flavour, while clear soup is more subtle with appetizing spicy sourish taste. The tom yum soup comes in two sizes, regular for 2-4 pax sharing and the large is always for bigger families and groups that up to 8 pax.

*****

Panaeng Curry Chicken

Besides the all-time favorite signature green curry, do try out Cafe 9’s Panaeng Curry Chicken too. 100% imported from Thailand to ensure its authenticity, this dish was creamy in texture diffusing a very tempting aromatic smell and taste. For ultimate spicy lovers, you can also request chef to level up till super-hot according to your tolerance level.

*****

Mango Fish

Those with a craving for fish and mango salad will surely love this chef’s new special creation. The fish meat absorbed all the great essence from the mango salad, giving you a nice spicy sourish taste that tasted so heavenly, it’s bound to leave you wanting more. Other than Mango Fish, Cafe 9 also serves the traditional steamed seabass with lime and chilli, which is also one of their top favorites.

Stir Fry 4 Angled Beans

If hot and spicy is not your thing, then this vegetable dish will be just nice to make you have the second plate of rice! Stir fried together with Thai belacan sauce and onion, I enjoyed very much the ‘wok-hei’ and its crunchy bite texture, perfect for family dining where the kids can’t take too spicy food.
