Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Dynasty Restaurant, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel to sample their exquisitely crafted 4-course Festival Menu in conjunction with the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival 2015, where Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin added a little individualistic westernism into the preparation of Festival dishes throughout October.
Located on the 1st floor of Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel – East Wing, Dynasty Restaurant has a seating capacity of 168 and 3 private dining rooms. From the luminous lantern shaped fixtures to the warm wooden paneling, Dynasty Restaurant is steeped in rich Chinese heritage. Three private rooms are aptly named Happiness, Prosperity and Longevity, capable of fitting 12 and also able to open up to create one large room. Indeed, everything about Dynasty serves to ensure that you can dine as only an emperor would.
Paired with Carmen Classic Sauvignon Blanc, Chef Kok treated his appetizer to an artistic rendition of trio seafood, with succulent Chilean scallop drizzled with garlic sauce, black sesame shrimp bundle, and abalone salad decorated beautifully with colorful editable flowers.
A simple classic dish that executed with grace and passion, this hearty pumpkin soup was cooked beautifully in yellow golden color together with premium blue ocean treasures and big chunk of lobster meats.
Chef Kok continued to excite our palate for more scrumptious food with his exquisite signature main that consists of poached cod fillet, white glutinous rice with crispy suckling skin and pepper fondue, which crafted perfection with meticulous attention to every detail.
Came with a subtle taste and simple texture, chef prepared this tricolor noodles dish together with shredded crab meat and fresh succulent seafood. So light, you can indulge almost guilt-free its freshness with the pairing of Woodbridge Merlot.
The exquisite 4-course Festival Menu closed with perfect ending with this colorful trio desserts, fragrant pandan layer cake, sweet almond crisp, and finally the creamy red pitahaya ice cream topped with premium bird’s nest.
The Festival Menu is priced at RM228 nett per person (without Wine) and RM278 nett per person (with Wine) as well as RM188 nett for a light Festival Menu without wines consisting of appetizers, soup, choice of one (1) main and dessert for those opting for a quick bite.
