Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Umeshu Sushi & Bar to try out their wonderful spread of Japanese foods, which offered at a very affordable price!
Located within the Glenmarie Industrial Park area, where weekdays’ lunch are usually pack, Umeshu Sushi & Bar provides diners a comfortable Japanese dining experience that accompanied by a scrumptious menu of fascinating dishes, including sashimi, nigiri, temaki, makimono, tempura, yakimono, ramen, soba, udon, don and many more.
*****
Simple at its best, this Jikasei Niku Miso Hiyayakko (RM5.30), a cold satiny soft tofu dish with delightful homemade Umeshu miso sauce.

Combining 2 of my favorite ingredients, this appetizer Salmon Avocado (RM6.90) was delightful in texture, a perfect palate opener if you are into sashimi.

Served cold, this refreshing colorful Soba Avocado Salad (RM10.90) consists of buckwheat noodles, healthy greens, soft tofu, crunchy cucumber and tossed with fragrant homemade sesame dressing.

Diners are spoilt for choices when it comes to dining at Umeshu Sushi & Bar. Serving more than 25 types of delicious nigiri sushi that range from RM2.90 till RM16.90, each bite at the sushi promises an explosion of addictive taste and texture, one is surely not enough!
We tried the Aburi Salmon Sushi (RM4.90), a half cooked salmon belly with teriyaki sauce.

For sharing among 2-3 pax, you can try the Salmon Zukushi (RM16.90), which served with fresh raw salmon 3 pieces, salmon sushi 2 pieces and salmon mayo 2 pieces.

Lovers of Japanese cuisine must not miss the tempura dishes. We tried the Tempura Moriawase (RM15.90), a mixture of crunchy crisp deep fried prawn, eggplant, capsicum, pumpkin, mushroom and served together with homemade tempura sauce.

Umeshu also serves Tempura Mantis Prawn (RM8.90), which I seldom find this at other Japanese restaurant.

If rice is your staple, this gastronomic bowl of Ishiyaki Salmon Tobiko (RM15.90), salmon and flying fish roe rice served in a hot stone bowl can certainly satisfy your palate with mouth-watering flavors.

Umeshu offers ramen, udon and soba to satisfy the noodle lovers’ cravings. Topped with seafood and crispy tempura coated egg, I personally like this Ishiyoki Curry Udon (RM10.90), which you get to enjoy the thick and silky udon in a rich flavorful Japanese curry broth.
