It’s that time of the year again where the spirit of love and giving fills the air!

This festive season, Cheras LeisureMall is celebrating ‘Christmas From The Heart’ with glimmering wonderland decoration as the mall’s theme.

The Christmas celebration bears deeper significance as shoppers and the community are invited to participate in the Cheras LeisureMall’s annual “Toy Bank – A Gift of Love” programme from now until 27th December 2015. This annual charity campaign allows shoppers, well-wishers and generous members of the public to bring smiles to underprivileged children’s faces by fulfilling their wishes.

“Toy Bank” is an annual CSR initiative in line with PPB Group Berhad’s core value to contribute and engage with the communities in which we operate, and with society at large. A community initiative to connect people to areas of need in society, the project has since its inception in 1999 brightened up smiles of over 3000 underprivileged children. To date, there are approximately 80 homes have been the beneficiaries this programme. In 2014, more than 2,000 gifts were collected fulfilling wishes of over 400 children from 12 homes.

Come and take part of this meaningful cause!

Pick a card from the wishing tree, select a toy or gift from the child’s wish list, and then deposit the gift together with the wish card at the Toy Bank located at Ground Floor Concourse.

You can also donate household items such as rice, cooking oil, toiletries, canned food, detergent and school books to the homes and charity organizations.

The participating children’s homes and charity organization of this year ‘Toy Bank – A Gift of Love’ include Shepherd’s Centre Foundation, Trinity Community Children’s Home, Persatuan Kebajikan Warga Tua Dan Kanak-Kanak WP, Pusat Jagaan Beribuan Kasih, Kajang, Bodhi Homecare Cheras, San Pedro Orphanage Home, Rumah Sayangan, Rumah Kanak Kanak Angels, Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Cornerstone, Yayasan Sunbeams Home, Rainbow Home, Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheera and Pusat Majudiri Y for the Deaf.

The children will be at Cheras LeisureMall on 29 December 2015 to receive the gifts after a fun-filled day at the mall.
