Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant at One World Hotel Petaling Jaya to sample their sumptuous fine festive dishes, which chefs specially crafted for the spirit of joyous Chinese New Year celebration.

*****

Begin the indulgence with colorful yee sang, a staple dish in any Chinese New Year celebration, made from multi-coloured vegetable mix, complemented with delightful condiments and tangy sauce.

Toss your way to prosperity with Chef Michael’s 4 varieties of yee sang, namely the Yee Sang with Bird’s Nest and Sweet Turnip (RM70 half portion ; RM130 full portion), Yee Sang with Salmon and Shredded Sweet Turnip (RM86 half portion ; RM172 full portion), Yee Sang with Caesar Salad with Salmon and Grated Parmesan Cheese (RM85 half portion ; RM170 full portion), Yee Sang with Sliced Abalone and Snow Pear (RM100 half portion ; RM200 full portion).

The tasty yee sang is available from January 1 until February 27 for dine – in or take away.

The Chinese New Year festival is a time for reunion and an occasion to rejoice in the good fortune over the past year with family, business associates and friends. Set menus offered at Zuan Yuan are for a table of 10 with 2 complimentary bottles of wine.
