Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Dragon-i to try out their Treasure Pot in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration to symbolize a festive reunion.
Co-designed by their chefs who hail from Shanghai and Hong Kong, Dragon-i offers 2 types of Treasure Pot for customers to choose from, the Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot (for 6-8 persons) and Signature Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot (for 8-10 persons).
The Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot is packed with 18 delicacies: Braised Premium Chilean Abalone (12 heads), Sea Cucumber, Japanese Dried Scallops, Japanese Dried Oysters, Premium Mushrooms, Pantai Remis Fresh Sea Prawns, Roast Chicken, Braised Trotters, Golden Money Bags, Pork Balls, Dried Beancurd Skin, Yam, Black Moss, Chinese Cabbage, Broccoli, Deep-fried Beancurd Skin and Radish, all cooked in a Braised Oyster and Abalone Sauce. It weighs a total of 9 lbs.
If you plan to have a memorable reunion meal with family, customers get to dine-in or take-away the Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot and the Signature Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot from 1 December 2015 until 22 February 2016.
Available for take away too on the 7th February 2015 before 3 pm (Chinese New Year’s Eve), the Treasure Pot is served in a high quality steel pot, and is easily reheated before serving.
Water Chestnut Cake with Osmanthus (RM32.80) & Auspicious Glutinous Rice Cake (RM32.80)
Enriched with diced water chestnuts combined with the sweet smell of osmanthus and healthy wolfberries, this crystal clear pastry will leave you with a rich aftertaste.
Fresh santan mixed with glutinous rice flour to enhance the taste and chewiness of this delicious Chinese New Year pastry. You can cut the rice cake into small pieces, heat it in microwave oven to create a softer texture. Then dip in egg mixture before deep fried it till golden brown.
I love Pineapple Shortcakes (RM36.80), and Dragon-i made it with superior grade ingredients which are designed to bring out the full flavor and aroma of the delicious fruit. The short-crust pastry is coated with butter cream to make it even richer, further delighting your taste buds.
Using only the best scallops, shrimps and other top quality ingredients, Dragon-i’s XO Sauce (RM48) has a temptingly hot and spicy fragrance which is guaranteed to stimulate your appetite. It is suitable for any cooking method and will help enhance the flavor of your dishes.
