Cafe Hopping in Subang Jaya & USJ with KetchUp Blogger Speed Run

Cafe Hopping in Subang Jaya & USJ with KetchUp Blogger Speed Run
27 Mar

Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently join a unique cafe-hopping experience organized by KetchUp, an interesting project to rediscover 36 cafes in 6 neighborhoods within 6 days involving 36 bloggers. We explored cafes around Subang Jaya and USJ areas in a tiring but fun-filled Blogger Speed Run session that started from 10 am till 4 pm.

1st Stop : Ahoy Cafe
74, Jalan SS 15/4, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Tel : 6019-914 1334

Set in cozy and warm ambience with nautical theme, Ahoy Cafe serves aromatic Arabica coffees and quality homemade foods with various choices.

Ahoy, a nautical or pirate lingo, is a term used to attract attention or say hello when aboard a ship.

Molten Chocolate (Valrhona) Lava Cake with Ice Cream (RM14.90), one of the signature desserts at Ahoy Cafe.

2nd Stop : HYPE Concept Cafe
9, Jalan SS 15/4D, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

“5 souls with different minds yet a common interest and enthusiasm came together to create something that encompasses aspirations and provide an escape retreat space with tea lab, juice bar and pastry counter.”

KetchUp host with Kelvin from HYPE Concept

3rd Stop : ABOONG Cafe
49, Jalan SS 15/8a, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
FB :

Located opposite the Asia Cafe, ABOONG Cafe serves soft-serve yogurt ice cream that filled in a prosperity fish shaped waffle cone. The waffle is crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and stuffed with various options of fillings in the belly.

Paired with a mixed fruit skewer chocolate fondue and drizzled with chocolate sauce, it is like eating a yogurt ice cream but in a bungeoppang (Korean name of a pastry similar to the Japanese fish-shaped pastry taiyaki), interesting and tasty!

4th Stop : Big Mike Cafe
A01-01, Ground Floor, Rajawali Building
Jalan 15/8, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Tel : 6018-294 6017
FB :

“I sailed across the 7 seas to seek all-time favorite dishes around the globe. I fought with the Kraken in the Atlantic to get the finest calamari, solved riddles with the Great King Crab in the deep dark seas of Alaska in order to create the best platters. During the beautiful spring, I was dazzled by Mary that had a little lamb in the wilderness of New Zealand… I sailed for one last time and put down my anchor here, to share my bittersweet experience throughout my adventures with all of you.”

Such an interesting concept behind Big Mike Cafe and you can read the whole story on the wall inside the cafe.

The taste-tempting sauce surely made these Buffalo Wings (RM9.90) a lip-smacking satisfying dish.

Mini Ice Cream Burger (RM10.50 for 4 pieces), with colorful flavored buns that made in-house, one of the specialties at Big Mike Cafe.

5th Stop : Meteora Cafe
54-1, Jalan USJ 9/5P, 47620 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Tel : 6012-940 2001
FB :

“Unlike any other cafes, we actually love to connect with customers and serve them like our friends. Our place portrays a very chilled ambience, feel just like your second home with comfort foods.”

Meteora Cafe offers a terrific selection of mouth-watering dishes to fulfill customers’ enjoyment, including this Baconator (RM24.90) that’s served together with refreshing salad and all-time favorite fries.

KetchUp host with Aesya from Meteora Cafe

6th Stop : Flingstones Cafe
24, Jalan SS 15/8, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Tel : 603-5879 9468

“Flingstones is all about love, and helping you find that perfect match. Whether it’s the mesmerising marriage of exquisite espresso and marvellous milk, the sizzling, sensous affair that ensues when charismatic coffee and charming chocolate collide, or the raucous rock-and-roll romance that resonates from the pairing of fervour, froth and foam, this is where beautiful relationships begin.”

Falling nothing short of impressive at Flingstones Cafe including this Porky Fat Rice XL (RM20.00). Wow, look at the serving!
