Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Jamaica Blue to sample their New Seasonal Menu, featuring 7 mouth-watering dishes, from delicious breakfast classics, savory mains, soup, salad to delectable sweet treat.
The seasonal menu will run from 4 April till 15 May 2016 at promotional price to introduce these new flavors to the consumers before the launch of new menu in May whereby these seasonal dishes may be implemented in the new menu if there are positive feedback.
A fusion recipe with both Western and Asian influences, this Chicken and Corn Soup (RM7.90) was cooked with ingredients like potato, corn, chicken, herbs, shallot and cream, giving you a mouthful of rich flavor in every spoon.
Being highlighted in Jamaica Blue’s seasonal menu, crumpet was rarely found in Malaysia but it is very common in the breakfast menu at Australia. Similar like pancake but more fluffy, this Sourdough Crumpet (RM18.50) was topped with avocado, scrambled eggs, baby spinach, pesto and pinenuts.
Get ready to tantalize your palates with new flavors and aromas of Jamaica Blue seasonal menu, including this Sourdough Crumpet with Hazelnut Chocolate and Mixed Berries (RM17.50), a sweet version of crumpet with raspberry, strawberry, blueberry and wild berry mixture.
Unlike other mashed potato cakes, the one served at Jamaica Blue was smooth and mushy, but I can still taste the chunks of potatoes in it. Simply delicious to indulge, this Smoked Salmon Potato Cakes (RM12.90) had the sweetness from caramelized onions, balanced up the savory taste of smoked salmon and potato cake very nicely.
Refreshing Thai Chicken Noodle Salad (RM11.90) with vermicelli noodle, capsicum, baby bok choy and cashews in an sweet sour Asian-style dressing, which is a refreshing mixture of sweet chili sauce, fish sauce, sweet soy sauce, lemon juice and fragrant mint.
Perfect for the light eaters, this Chicken and Mushroom Crepes (RM14.90) is my favorite savoury main at Jamaica Blue with wrap of chicken, mushrooms, baby spinach, ricotta and cheese.
A light ending to scrumptious of good foods, this homemade Coconut Lime Cake (RM6.50) tasted refreshing with fresh lime and lime juice, so you won’t feel too heavy or guilty after all the foods.
