Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to sample some delicious cakes and pastries at Huckleberry Food & Fare that’s located in Plaza Damansara, Damansara Heights.

Aims to spread the love of artisanal bread, pastries and cakes to KL-ites with an emphasis on quality, uniqueness, pleasure and fun, Huckleberry Food & Fare stands for classic comfort food made from time-honoured recipes, using the purest ingredients and techniques.

One of the best sellers in Huckleberry Food & Fare, this gorgeous Banana French Toast (RM24.90) features thick slices of brioche dipped in rich vanilla custard scented with nutmeg and cinnamon, cooked in butter. Sweet in flavor and moist, chef topped it with banana, toasted walnut, and generously drizzled with your choice of own made apple syrup or raw acacia organic honey.

Aim to satisfy one’s palate with the finest ingredients they can prepare, this crowd favorite House-made Salt Beef Sandwich (RM32.90) which consists of a whopping 170gm perfectly brined salt beef brisket and sandwiched between the baker’s special rye caraway bread together with pickled gherkins and english mustard, can easily topped my favorite sandwich chart, a definitely must try at Huckleberry Food & Fare.

Huckleberry Food & Fare also serves gourmet range of cakes and eye-candy cupcakes that will pick you right up and save you from the afternoon slump, like this Coconut Lime Cake (RM14.90) that’s quite refreshing and light in texture.

For cheese cake lovers, you need to try this rich and luxurious Macademia Cheesecake (RM14.90) that topped with LOTS of crushed macadamia nuts.

A perfect treat not to be missed for serious chocoholics, this awesome Blackout Chocolate Cake, Huckleberry takes on an old New York Brooklyn classic, was made using intense 70% dark chocolate, which I immediately felt in love with its moist and rich chocolatey heaven.

Serving almost 25 varieties of delicious-smelling gourmet bread, every loaf of bread at Huckleberry Food & Fare is hand-crafted using 100% all-natural ingredients with long fermentation process.

Their signature Miche Sourdough range of bread, which made using the old-fashioned way with sourdough starters cultivated by the Master Baker himself. Huckleberry Food & Fare’s classic loaves such as the multigrain and organic meteil are made from a house-blend of organic flour and rye sourdough starter.
