Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Hei Sushi and checked out their extensive array of Ramadan Special Sets, which will be available from 23 May till 31 July 2016, 6 pm to 9:30 pm every day.
Serving a scrumptious Japanese style Ramadan menu, Hei Sushi is bound to surprise local palates with its inventive East-meets-West-meets-local food concept. Hei Sushi received its halal certificate earlier this year, making it one of the few halal Japanese restaurant chain certified by JAKIM.
“The Ramadan menu consists of 3 set meals designed to suit the Ramadan and Raya celebration with different group of friends and families. Thus, there are now even more reasons for family members and loved ones to gather together over a delicious and wholesome meal at Hei Sushi,” shared Ms Jessica Tan, Assistant Marketing Manager of Hei Sushi.

Ramadan Set A is priced at RM19.90 for an appetiser, main course and a glass of refreshing soda. Diners get to pick their sumptuous main course such as Katsu Jyu, Tori Jyu, Tenzaru Inaniwa Udon or Tori Inaniwa Udon.
Katsu Jyu and Tori Jyu each comes with 3 choices of sauce – Curry, Teriyaki or Spicy Peanut. These exquisite sauces promise to enhance the flavours of the dish, giving it an additional flavoursome edge.
For udon, diners can go for either Tenzaru Inaniwa Udon crispy prawns and assorted vegetables or Tori Inaniwa Udon tastefully seasoned chicken cutlet.
*****
Ramadan Set B that costs only RM25.90 is perfect for those who who crave for Japanese sushi and tempura. On top of the appetiser, drink and main course selection, diners will get an additional side dish with choices of Spider Maki, Otak-otak Harumaki, Sunshine Maki or Ebi Tempura.
Well-loved for its flavoursome crunch, Spider Maki stands out with its crispy soft shell crab and juicy snow crabstick while Otak-Otak Harumaki delights with its tasty fish paste plus a tinge of spiciness. Sunshine Maki is another all-time favourite of breaded prawn sushi rice roll layered with sweet mango and flying fish roe, as well as Ebi Tempura, a classic Japanese dish of lightly battered fried prawn served with dipping sauce.
*****
For parties of 4 or more, try the value-for-money Ramadan Set C (RM129.90), where diners get to enjoy the wide range of mouth-watering main course selections.
Both Hei Tori Specialty and Tori (Chicken) are cooked with chef’s special spicy peanut sauce, giving the Japanese dishes a local kick. Seafood lovers will appreciate Shake Kara (grilled salmon fillet) and Ika Kara (grilled squid), both accompanied by a tempting hot and spicy sauce.
Those who prefer a less intense sauce can go for Kaisen Inaniwa Udon comprising assorted seafood dressed with teriyaki garlic sauce.
Diners also get to choose 2 out of 7 enticing side dishes, which include air-flown fresh Sashimi Platter, enticing ball-shaped Temari Combo, golden Tempura Moriawase and signature maki selections of Spider Maki, Hei Maki, Sunshine Maki or Hana Neta.

This is a very good fusion menu. I have never thought of linking Japanese food to Ramadan. Need to check them out before the holy month is over.
