Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Zest Lifestyle Restaurant for their Chettinad Banana Leaf Promotion, a lip-smacking curry-filled experience!
Banana leaf foodies are no stranger to the famous Chettinad cuisine. With its liberal use of spices, it’s no wonder the southern state’s Chettinad region is renowned for its cuisine which rates among India’s spiciest and tastiest.
Indian Chef Koteswa Rao who specializes in South Indian cuisine with 29 years of cooking experience is excited to entice his diners with delicious Chettinad food.
Available from 19 till 30 September, the basic set cost RM25 nett per portion, which consists of rice, curry, vegetables, lentils, papadom, rasam and payasam. Your meal will be served on a banana leaf for a truly authentic Chettinad experience. There will be no buffet line as curries will be served individually by the waiters, just like in a typical Indian restaurant.
A selection of poultry to seafood dishes are available for add-on as well. Priced at RM10 nett per a-la-carte order that easily serves two, we sampled the Butter Masala Prawn, Pepper Fried Crab, Chettinad Fried Fish, Tumeric Chettinad Squid, Chicken Masala, Chettinad Lamb Chukka and Lamb Masala.
If you fancy good value-for-money, delicious South Indian Chettinad food, then hop over to Zest Lifestyle Restaurant for this sumptuous meal.
For further information and reservation, please call Zest Lifestyle Restaurant at 603-8949 8888 ext 1888.

This classy banana leaf rice concept is really appealing to the eye. I’ve never heard of Chettinad before. I wonder how different it is compared to our usual banana leaf rice fare.
