Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Sanoook for their grand launching event, which officiated by Thailand Ambassador, H.E. Damrong Kraikruan and famous Japanese rock star Gackt.

Sanoook is inspired by the team’s love affair with Thai and Japanese cuisine. Using secret, authentic Thai recipes from their flagship restaurant Chakri Palace and adding a twist of presentation and creative culture of Japanese food, we are the 1st to combine these 2 delectable cuisines. In Sanoook, we hope to bring you the future of gourmet where cultures and tastes merge, creating a whole new culture of fun dining.

My Thai Milky Iced Tea (RM10.90) served in unique glass.

Here is an appetizer that’s not-to-be-missed at Sanoook, especially when you have no idea what to order. Deep fried till golden brown perfection, this 4-season Platter (RM37.90) consists of crispy calamari, salmon cream croquette, vegetarian spring roll and Thai fish cake with Thai chicken ball. Served together with 3 choices of dipping sauces, it was really good to nibble over some good chat and laugh.

Served together with varieties of fresh delightful ingredients such as cherry tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, baked apple and Japanese cucumber wrapped with salmon, this Sanoook Salad (RM29.90) has a very nice symphony of flavors that will make you dig in for more!

Sanoook’s sushi rolls are worth mentioning as chef has created the 1st sushi rolls with Thai flavours. Soft Shell Crab Sushi (RM34.90) with Thai mango chili sauce, it is a surprisingly complementary combination for adventurous tastebuds.

Stealing my attention next deliciously was this Sanoook’s Rainbow (RM19.90). Instead of Nori sheet, chef rolled up varieties of colorful ingredients with thinly sliced zucchini, very refreshing with the sesame sauce which drizzled all over the dish.

Full with lots of oomph, this enticing Tom Yum Soup (RM23.90) which served together with succulent river prawns and shimeji mushroom was another must order items at Sanoook, especially for those with hot and spicy palate.

Sanoook means fun in Thai. The team added another ‘o’ to represent a circle of friendship. Hence, Sanoook means having fun together with friends! Similar like this Chicken Burger (RM17.90) with buns made with Japanese rice and de-boned grilled chicken thigh in teriyaki sauce, chef wants the patrons to have fun and be adventurous to explore the dishes offered at Sanoook. Burger lovers can enjoy 4 different types of Sushi Burgers with gourmet patties such as Chicken, Beef, Salmon and Soft-shell Crab, which also come with a basketful of crispy burdock root chips.

Tapping into the current food trend of yakitori, Sanoook has created its very own version of Thai Skewers namely Massaman Chicken, Green Curry Beef, Sweet Chili Salmon and Sanoook Vegetable skewers. The skewers are served sizzling hot and great for sharing with a choice of 2 or 4 skewers, living up to its brand name which means ‘fun with friends’.

Sanoook has an extensive indoor and al-fresco space which can accommodate a total of 180 guests as well as a VIP room ideal for private events of up to 20 guests. This is definitely one brand to watch out for as it represents the future of exhilarating cuisines where cultures and tastes merge.

Located at Level 1 inside Pavilion Elite, Sanoook just recently opened their second outlet in Kuala Lumpur.
