Everybody’s life has these moments, where one thing leads to another. Some are big and obvious and some are small and seemingly insignificant. ~ Peter Jackson
Recently, I accepted the 7-day Milk @ Breakfast Challenge by Dutch Lady, to show how I paired the Dutch Lady PureFarm milk with my breakfast for 7 days in a row. To do so, I had to make some adjustment on my morning routine, but the rewards were far more rewarding, beyond my expectation to say the least.
“After about 8 to 12 hours from your last meal, a glass of milk provides the nourishment your body needs in the morning to regulate itself,” said Ashlee Ng, marketing director of Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad.
I do understand the importance of getting calcium and some essential nutrients from the milk, but sometimes due to my hectic lifestyle, I tend to skip my breakfast. Throughout the seven days, I made it a point to bring along 1 or 2 packets of Dutch Lady PureFarm milk inside my bag before rushing out to work in the morning. It is so convenient, I now have no more excuse to miss my daily calcium intake!

One small positive change in the morning can impact your whole day. Here’s a couple of moments which made a deep impact to me, that I wish to share with you.
The other day, early in the morning, I bought this simple breakfast while waiting for my client to arrive. There was this old lady sitting beside me, had her breakfast too, alone. Not sure what have struck into my mind, I decided to share my another pack of Dutch Lady PureFarm milk with her. Probably her hunched position? Or I suddenly felt sad that she was eating alone and seemed quite poor?
Anyway, we talked a little bit before she finished her breakfast and the milk. She left me that morning with a happier mood, which I can see from her smile and gratitude. I myself felt happy too, a simple joyful feeling that kept me motivated the whole day.
And, I am also thankful that I can still do something for my health. Did you know that Malaysians don’t meet their calcium requirements and the average calcium intake among Malaysian adults is below 50% the recommended nutrient intake. Calcium is necessary for strong bones, teeth, good nerve and muscle tissue, but it is not generated by the human body itself. A lifetime of calcium insufficiency can result in Bone Thinning, Weak Teeth & Muscle, Lost of Height, Curved Spine and High Risk of Chronic Disease. Now, drink milk and grow old gracefully.

I brought my mum out for a nice breakfast, and to take the shot above, I instructed her to pose a couple of different styles. Instructing her to hold the fork, to put down the knife, move the hand towards left a bit, slant your body to the front, it was pretty fun… Anyway, all I want to say is, it has been a while since we communicated this much over a proper breakfast.
Family breakfast is also the highlight of the day for Aaron Aziz, the ambassador of Dutch Lady PureFarm milk. “I really enjoy eating with my family first thing in the morning. Chatting and laughing while filling our tummies with delicious food – there’s no better way to start a day! Hanging out with the people I love most also lifts my spirits and motivate me to take on the day’s work,” he says.
After finishing the shot, we took our time to have breakfast, and chat casually over 2 packets of Dutch Lady PureFarm milk. I really treasure moments like these. As our parents grow older, all they want is just some attention and caring from their children. As the saying goes, a family that eats together, stays together. Do it now before it is too late!

Eventually, everything connects. Having calcium-rich milk at breakfast not only fortifies me physically, it also gives me the time to appreciate what really matter in life and share a dose of love before start my day.
2 servings of milk every day helps to meet your nutritional requirement; and 1 serving at breakfast can provide 200mg of calcium to jump start your daily nutritional intake.
So, slow down your pace and take a good 15 minutes nutrition-balanced breakfast now, because good things are going to happen to people that are ready!

Your breakfast looks really good! I would want to try and start drinking one or two small box of milk everyday. However, I don’t think they have this here 🙁 But I drink fresh milk quite often so I guess that’s the same.
