Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Mazzo that’s located in Publika Mont Kiara to sample some of their exquisite fusion of Korean, Japanese and Italian fine dishes.

Separated into two areas, a semi al-fresco casual dining section and classic aesthetic of private VIP room with air-conditioning, luxurious chandeliers and elegant tableware, Mazzo promises an excellent gastronomy experience to connoisseurs of great food.

*****

mazzo publika korean japanese italian fusion cajun chicken salad

For light eaters, this Cajun Chicken Salad served a reasonable good portion to satisfy your hunger. Featuring crunchy lettuce, cherry tomato and egg in homemade Cajun sauce, my personal favorite was the tender fried chicken thigh that’s coated with golden cornflakes to give it a nice crispy bite.

*****

Coated with chef’s own mixture of different flours, these Prawn Tempura tasted differently compare to others in its texture and crispiness.

Cheese Chicken Bite & Mazzo Garlic Chicken

I can be quite lazy sometimes if the dish contains bone, and that is one of the reasons I enjoyed this bite-sized Korean Fried Chicken a lot! Again, coated with chef’s special combination of flour, I really like the crunchy outer layer. It did not turn soggy even though covered with cheese and fragrant garlic sauce for a while.

*****

mazzo publika korean japanese italian fusion pane cream pasta

Life is not boring with Mazzo’s signature pasta bowl! Stealing my attention next deliciously was this Pane Cream Pasta that’s served in bread. Freshly cooked pasta with beef bacon, mushroom and creamy carbonara sauce, this noodle dish easily topped my favorite list here with its well-balanced texture.

Remember don’t waste the soft fluffy bread. Dipped into the carbonara sauce and let it soaked up the delicious flavor. It is definitely as satisfying as the pasta.

If you are fans of bulgogi just like me, tantalize your palates with this Mazzo Grilled Bulgogi, a pounded beef sirloin flavored with Mazzo’s special sauce for that fantastic smoky savory taste.

Committed to deliver the true culinary art in a healthier form, chef substituted the fine sugar with fruits like pineapple or pear for natural sweet flavor.

*****

Their commitment to authentic fusion cuisine makes Mazzo the ideal dining destination for Malaysians and foreigners looking for modern sophistication coupled with a delectable experience.

Made with beef brisket, onion, carrot and leek, this Hamburger Steak is a famous Korean’s modern dish. Served together with rice, vegetables and a cute fried egg, the 250g thick handmade beef steak was tender and juicy flavored with chef special sauce.

Mazzo’s Master Chef Ted Lee has over 20 years of culinary experience and specializes in Korean and Japanese cuisine.

At Mazzo, they adhere to traditional cooking methods but with a modern twist. Diners can be assured that dishes are prepared using only fresh, natural, high quality ingredients, personally hand-picked daily by Chef Ted, and always without artificial ingredients like MSG.

This Red Snapper Stew dish is Chef Ted’s hometown (GwangJu) specialty. Boiled in Korean spicy sauce together with big chunks of radish for the natural sweetness, one can only wish for another bowl of rice to go with the gravy. It was slightly hot for me, yet I can’t stop myself from sipping the highly addictive spicy sauce.

Besides Red Snapper, diners can also choose Silver Pomfret or Mackerel fish.
