Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to KungFu Steam for their Chinese New Year Seafood Feast, specially prepared by the chef for diners to celebrate the Year of Fire Rooster with fresh, healthy and delicious festive offerings cooked in special steaming method.
They have two outlets, one at Sunway Mentari, another one is located at The Cube, Bandar Puteri Puchong with this noticeable big building.
KungFu Steam keeps varieties of live seafood in the aquariums to ensure only serves the freshest to customers.
I enjoyed the dining ambiance here, it is spacious and neat without much greasiness that will put me off.

“Lou Sang” is a very important ritual for Malaysians during the Chinese New Year. This year, KungFu Steam introduces a light and refreshing Fruity Yee Sang (RM68.80), featuring 7 types of fruits and 7 types of nuts, a medley of colourful ingredients with jackfruit, water apple, dragonfruit, pomegranate, grapes, orange, apple, dried raisins, dried citrus peel, almonds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and etc.
What I like about this Fruity Yee Sang is the unique homemade dragon fruit sauce, which gives the dish an overall natural sweetness, nicely complements the crunchy bites of fruits and nuts. It is simply a healthier less guilty prosperity indulgence.

We ended our meal with the Flower Crab Porridge. It was cooked inside the pressure steamer while we steamed other dishes on top, allowing juices from various foods dripped down to the porridge till it is packed with delicious umami flavours. Condiments such as spring onions, sesame oil, ginger and coriander were added in upon serving. You can opt for Scallop Chicken Soup if you don’t want the porridge, then you will have a flavourful soup at the end of the meal with chicken, dried scallop and burdock root as the main ingredients.

Dining at KungFu Steam may takes some time, but I feel the experience is worth it. Waiting patiently for each dish to cook in front of you creates the pure excitement when waiter lifts up the lid to present the cooked food and releases that tempting aroma.
Moreover, to have a meaningful dining together with family or friends over chit-chat and laughter is really priceless nowadays. So, head over to KungFu Steam this Chinese New Year for a healthy and prosperous reunion meal.

Their cheapest package is even cheaper than many places in Ipoh! I am drooling already and think I need another round of CNY pig-out. LOL

Wahh. Fall in love with the set-up. It doesn’t look so grand from the outside.

Oh my if the dishes look like that, I actually wouldn’t mind the wait time 🙂 The set menu pricing is not too bad either.
