Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Auntie Sim Kitchen for their Golden Feast Set, featuring Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve and a selection of signature dishes to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year.
Johnnie Walker, the world’s number one Scotch whisky, has collaborated with Auntie Sim Kitchen, a unique restaurant that brings together self-taught traditional culinary skills and recipes with fusion Canton Teochew dishes from Hong Kong’s master chef all under one roof, to introduce a specially selected Chinese New Year indulgent menu that would pair perfectly well with the versatile blend.
Blended from selected reserves of malt and grain whiskies to create the premium drinks experience, Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is touted as the celebratory blend fit for indulgent celebrations and festive seasons.
Its multi-layered luxurious, creamy and honeyed flavours which are made for unforgettable events with friends and family, is enjoyed neat or even with a choice of mixers due to its versatility.
To create such a versatile blend, their Master Blender explored his reserves for casks matured to the point where their flavours are at their vibrant best. The bold, versatile flavours are meticulousy blended from classic malt whiskies and creamy Lowland grain whiskies to create the most perfectly balanced of luxury blends including its smoky, rich and fruity notes.
Priced at RM1,288, this Golden Feast Set is for 6-pax, with dishes include:
* Braised Dried Abalone with Mushroom and Broccoli
* The Delicious Double Treasure
* Stir Fried Angus Beef with Black Pepper; or
* Hong Kong Style Braised Red Garoupa
* Wolfberry Bamboo Fungus with Spinach
* Dry Fried Hong Kong Yee Mee with Fresh Water Prawns
