Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to the launching event of Watsons Malaysia’s Chinese New Year #happybeautifulyear Campaign at Ruyi & Lyn Bangsar.
The #happybeautifulyear campaign launch was spearheaded by the Chinese New Year music video featuring the original song ‘Happy Beautiful Year’ with cameo appearances by more than 20 local and international celebrities. Watsons is dedicated to produce yet another highly successful music video to showcase the true essence of celebrating Chinese New Year including singing and dancing with lovable music.
Malaysia’s favourite singing duo, Fuying and Sam, performed the song live at the launch accompanied by the leading cast of the music video and fellow celebrity friends including Amber Chia, Alvin Sinclair, Arja Lee, Arfan Aris, Chui Leng, Leng Sisters (DJ Leng Yein and MC Leng Sean), John Tan, Kit Mah, Leng Sean, Nadine Ann Thomas, Nigel Chin, Reem Shahwa, Rubini Sambanthan, Santhawan Boonratana and Wafa de Korte.

Happy Polla from Thailand who has more than 1.5 million followers on social media and a big fan base in Malaysia was also given a cameo role in the music video to further amplify the music video and campaign.

The music video released on Watsons Malaysia YouTube and Facebook channels respectively has to date surpassed the half million views within 48 hours!
The main cast and celebrities were joined by Caryn and Danny for the traditional ‘Lou Sang’ ceremony in the midst of key business partners, members of the media and bloggers.
