Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Le Pont Boulangerie for their Love Begins Valentine’s Day Set Menu (3rd till 14th February 2017), where chef recaptures the magic and let romance take centrestage with his elegantly crafted Valentine’s masterpieces.
Le Pont’s Valentine’s Day 2-course Set Menu offers a scrumptious start to a romantic dine out with two appetizers to choose from.
Mixed Fruits Salad, a refreshing toss of fresh oranges, strawberries, blueberries, pomegranate and leafy greens with orange vinaigrette.
Assorted Tapas Trio, which served with smoked salmon mango salsa, foie gras mousse with balsamic strawberry salted crust, and deep fried cranberry cream cheese.
Offering delectable choices of two main courses on the special romance celebration, you can select either the fish or chicken dish.
Sous Vide Pacific Catch (RM48.90), with Barramundi cooked in sous vide style sits on top the smooth creamy cauliflower puree, accompanied by sautéed vegetables as well as dollops of beet root sauce and pesto oil.
Baked Chicken Roulade (RM45.90), a tender chicken breast dish stuffed with spinach mousseline, served together with sautéed vegetables and fragrant chicken broth.
To compliment the lovebirds, try their specially mixed mocktails to enjoy while waiting for meals to be served.
Pink Passion (RM16.90), a fizzy concoction of raspberry and passion fruit, topped with a layer of plum, apple and peach fruit foam, giving you a refreshing sweet sourish taste.
Twilight Tango (RM15.90), an aromatic medley of juniper berry, coriander seed, bayleaf and fresh dill which bound to leave unforgettable impressions, suitable for the gentlemen’s taste buds.
Celebrate romance and pamper your loved one with this Noir Chocolat Fondue (RM39.90), warm dark cocoa served alongside captivating offerings like marshmallows, grapes, strawberries, butter cake, peanut butter cookies, signature Le Pont’s waffles and two scoops of vanilla ice cream.
Such a beautiful dessert to relive the moments, rekindle the romance with in this upcoming Valentine’s Day! Poached Strawberry (RM16.90), served with slow poached strawberries and creme diplomat then topped with coco crumbles, a piece of art I must say!
Additionally appeasing the taste buds is this Lovers Dip (RM45.90), a hearty platter for sharing with someone special, featuring tasty selection of deep fried golden John Dory and calamari with homemade batter, as well as cheesy chicken sausage and chicken sausage. Served with 4 mini bowls of sauces – Dijon Mustard, Sauerkraut, Pomodoro, Aioli to further enhance your mouth-watering experience.
