Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Naughty Nuri’s for its Naughty Porky Fest launching event, a month-long festival that will run throughout March to celebrate the love for pork.
Taking pride in the quality of food, Naughty Nuri’s Group Executive Chef, Eddy Wong had refreshed the menu recently, one of the highlights under the month-long festival.
Introducing the new selection of Sambals (RM3 each), a hot treat to all spicy food lovers! My favourite is the Sambal Lalapan that consists of lime leaves, red chillies, lemongrass and pork lard. Just like the name, Sambal Terasi has a strong flavour of shrimp paste (belacan in Malay / terasi in Indonesian).
Naughty Nuri’s homemade Sambal Hijau is made of green chillies, green chilli padi and anchovies to enhance the taste of the sambal. Consists of the spiciest red chillies and chilli padis, Sambal Dadakan is also known as the ultimate sambal with extremely spicy taste.
Another new dish that is highlighted in the refreshed menu includes my favourite Lavender Pork Rib Salad (RM25), a combination of deep fried pulled pork ribs, mixed salad, cucumber, pineapple, longan and almond flavoured with homemade lavender fruity dressing.
Served together with crunchy garlic toast, Makassar Inspired Lamb Ribs Soup (RM25) is a hearty soup cooked in Balinese spices till the lamb meat is succulent yet tender in texture.
Asian Roast Pork Burger (RM32), a special charcoal burger buns stuffed with big slab of homemade crispy skinned roast pork belly, topped with onion rings, tomatoes, lettuce and delicious Asian BBQ sea-coconut mayonnaise.
Deep fried Balinese Succulent Pork Wing (RM21) coated with chef’s Balinese special sauce.
Aimed at building customer interaction, the Snort-Snort Challenge can be done both on ground at any of the Naughty Nuri’s outlets and online in the comfort of your own home. Every participant will automatically receive a RM1 ribs voucher just by participating in the challenge.
