Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Bai Wei Cuisine and checked out some of their signature Chinese Homey Dishes like Hainan Tea, Mee Pok, Hainese Chicken Rice and Hock Chew Balls served in a relaxing contemporary environment.

Located same row as Old Town White Coffee, Bai Wei Cuisine attracts lots of customers for their value for money delicious dishes that will bring back the nostalgic flavours to make you feel just like home.

Their signature Hainan Tea (RM3.80), with beautiful layers of milk, tea and thick foam.

Mee Pok (RM7.50), a Chinese Teochew cuisine served with flat yellowish noodles and minced meat. My kind of simple comfort food with lard added in to enhance the aroma and flavour.

A fresh take on a timeless classic, this full of ‘wok hei’ Fried Fish Noodles with Chee Cheong Fun (RM8.50) has easily stealed my heart away with its char kuey teow alike taste, a unique noodle dish that is bound to satisfy your hunger with lots flavours!

Sharing portion for two, chef added the dried cuttlefish into this bowl of Fried Porridge (RM13) for the distinct taste of aromatic flavour complements the porridge’s warm creamy texture. I like it especially if you don’t have much appetite.

What is Chinese cuisine without the rice dishes. If you want something more filling than noodles, Bai Wei Cuisine also offers diners Nasi Lemak Ayam and this classic Hainanese Chicken Rice (RM8).

Tea time indulgence with list of mouth-watering snacks at Bai Wei Cuisine, including my all-time favourite Fried Dumpling (RM7.00) with juicy meat filling.

Be sure to leave some space for sweet endings as you would not want to miss their range of classic desserts, including Ginger Tea with Glutinous Rice Ball, Barley Fu Chuk Gingko, Ginger Tea with Soya Milk, Red Bean Sago Soup, Double Boiled Winter Melon Longan, and my favourite Tau Fu Fah (RM4.50) with sugar selections of white, brown or almond.

    I would always order porridge so this fried porridge is definitely one that I want to try. Never eat fried porridge before, I’m curious how’s the taste.

    I have never tried fried porridge before. The pictures just looked too tasty not to try.

    Wahh. the Hainan Tea looks good. I bet the taste is nice too. Kinda like the 3 layer tea.

    Is this halal? Because that Fried Fish Noodles with Chee Cheong Fun and dumpling capture my heart! Plus, its really affordable 🙂

    This resto seems interesting by offering Hock Chew and Hainanese cuisines. I think it is an acquired taste for Hock Chew dishes but I am still game for one round.

    The restaurant offers delicious Chinese cuisine. Price is reasonable to me. I never try Fried porridge. I think will go for this.
