Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Sho Kushiage at Sunway Pyramid for their new promotional dishes, Pork Chop Noodles (RM29.90) and Cheesy Pork Ball Noodles (RM25.90), which are available from 1 July 2017 onwards.
Best eaten hot on the spot, diners can choose to have Japanese Curry or Pork Bone Soup as the base, and Udon or Ramen for the noodles. Top up additional RM1 for free flow green tea, that’s a pretty good deal!
The meat is soft, tender and juicy because Sho Kushiage only uses special selected Premium Sakura Three Yuan Pork. Chef fries the pork chop with 100% vegetable oil as it is non-greasy, making the dish tasty and less oily.
Every day freshly crushed, Sho Kushiage coats the meat with their original formula of bread fluffy powder that won’t cause oil absorption when frying. It made tonkatsu more crispy and savory, every bite is simply sensational!
Chef cooked the meat with 100% oleic acid rich vegetable oil carefully for 8 minutes, then removes it and let the heat to continue cook the meat naturally till soft and juicy perfection.
Grind the sesame to make your own tonkatsu dipping sauce. Sho Kushiage uses specially selected high quality sesame that contains high linoleic acid and rich in vitamin B1 and calcium. It helps to fight against atherosclerosis and lowering cholesterol.
Have fun and mix in with their original pork chop sauce to your liking, which made of a combination of onion, tomato, apple, carrot, and a dozen of spices.
We also tried their Fusion Cones Roll that comes with interesting presentation, flavours including Avocado Unagi Cones (RM5.90), Mango Prawn Cones, Avocado Salmon Cones and California Cones.
Sho Kushiage also has something for the seafood lovers, like this Tiger Prawn in Cheese Pot (RM11.90 for 3 skewers), which I highly recommended because the sauce is thick and rich in cheesy flavour.
There is something delicious for everyone at Sho Kushiage, such as the Value-for-money Set Menu. A total of 12 varieties for you to choose from, the Kimchi Buta Set (RM15.90) that I ordered came together with drink, miso soup, Japanese rice and shredded cabbage.
We had the Japanese national drink Calpis, a brand with over hundred years of history. It is a lactic acid bacteria drink that is refreshing and able to help with counter the effect of oiliness from the meal we indulged at Sho Kushiage.
