Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Eatalia that is located in the heart of Desa Sri Hartamas for their tantalizing Italian foods.
Previously known as Pizza Brava Restaurant, Eatalia is established since 2003. Inspired by the Italian culture – warmth, genuine hospitality and the importance placed on family, Eatalia has 7 years experience in serving authentic Italian food, specializing in wood fire pizza.
The definition of Thin Crust Pizza at Eatalia, it is just enough of a thin crust to be able to pick up pizza toppings and delivers it to your taste buds. Feast on skillfully wood fire baked pizza delights, there are so many choices at Eatalia for you to choose from. We had the Verdure Pizza (RM28 12 inch ; RM21 10 inch) served with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and seasonal vegetables.
Simple salad dish, Insalata Di Rucola (RM22) features lots of rocket salad tossed with pear, Grana Padano (a hard, slow-ripened, semi-fat cheese), toasted nuts in refreshing lemon dressing.
Pasta is one of signature dishes in Italian cuisine. They are very particular to have the pasta al-dente. Al-dente is Italian for ‘to the teeth’ and it refers to pasta that is cooked just long enough that it is neither crunchy nor too soft, and its texture appeals to the teeth. We were having the Spaghetti Cabonara Di Mare (RM33) served with fresh mixed seafood, cream sauce and Parmegamo. Nice al-dente in texture, and lovely cream sauce which is my preference.
Now, this is something unique that I don’t see it often at other restaurants. Chef has put in his creative spin and cooks this Ravioli di Pesce (RM33), a squid ink seafood ravioli dish with baby scallops, pink peppercorn and fragrant saffron cream sauce.
Eatalia serves gnocchi signature Italian dish here as well. Gnocchi Al Gorgonzola (RM25), soft and delicate potato dumplings served with Gorgonzola and cream sauce.
Served together with creamy mashed potato, this Stinco D’Agnello (RM36), wood-fired oven-braised lamb shank in rosemary sauce is really soft and tender, I recommend lamb lovers should try this!
There is something delicious for everyone at Eatalia, and if you are a fish lover, this Branzino Al Salsa Verde (RM35) would be perfect to tantalize your taste buds, a pan-fried fillet of seabass with pickles and capers sauce, served together with mashed potatoes, baby spinach and almond.
Feeling moody?! Indulge this Tiramisu (RM16) lah, a classic dessert with ladyfingers cookies dipped in coffee, layered with whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone, flavored with liquor.
For Italians, life is a celebration. There is nothing better than a long evening meal with family and friends, to share and to enjoy fine wine, tasty food, great coffee and delicious desserts. Come by Eatalia if you are around Desa Sri Hartamas area for their satisfying Italian foods.
