Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Dynasty Restaurant at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel for the do-it-yourself hot pot get-together meal with my blogger friends that is healthy and deliciously fun.

Available daily for dinner only, diners can choose from the a la carte selection from RM8 nett or opt for the all-inclusive set menu at RM68.80 nett per person for a minimum of 2 persons.

Hot pot is a meal for sharing where everyone cooks their own food right at the table. Freshly prepared ingredients such as thinly sliced beef, fish fillet, chicken, freshwater prawns, dumplings, wontons, eggs, tofu and vegetables are presented raw on the side.

With a pot filled with simmering broth of herbal chicken, superior clear soup, vegetarian corn soup or tom yum, the fun begins when diners gather around the table with chopsticks in hand to pick up the slices of meat or vegetable and swirl it around the simmering tasty broth for a few seconds to cook. Once cooked, they can be enjoyed with 3 different flavourful dipping sauces.

The best part of a hot pot meal is towards the end! You can soak in the noodles, meat and vegetables when the broth has thickened and its flavour is enhanced.

There is also an updated signatures and a selection of new a la carte dishes encompassing the all-time favourites with modern day presentation by Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin and his team.

The new menu features a wide selection of authentic and delectable Cantonese delicacies from appetizers to barbecued and roasted meals including soups and seafood specialties as well as poultry and vegetarian dishes. These dishes are both satisfying on the palate and a feast to the eyes as Chef Kin places a strong focus on his food presentation.

There is a choice of beef, venison and lamb to choose from and a variety of live seafood prepared according to the diner’s preference. Diners also have a selection of claypot dishes to discover in the new menu.

Guests dining at Dynasty will be in for a delicious surprise with this menu makeover. They can expect to savour signature dishes that have been lovingly created to tantalize their taste buds and also touch their hearts.
