Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Goobne Chicken at MyTOWN Shopping Centre, Cheras Kuala Lumpur for their Korea Number 1 Oven Roasted Chicken.

With over 1000 outlets in Korea and overseas, this is their first store in Malaysia. Aiming to bring more delicious, healthier chicken to the country, Goobne features a good healthy K-food concept with its award-winning oven roasted chicken.

Literally means oven roasted in Korean language, chicken served at Goobne is roasted in the oven for 13 minutes at 195 degrees without using single drop of oil to conserve the original flavour of chicken itself. Besides that, Goobne is using hormone free chicken and it contains less calories, cholesterol, sodium and trans-fat, yet crispy on the outside, chewy and juicy inside once roasted. Goobne’s self-developed special seasoning also brings out the rich flavour of the chicken itself.

Other than the original flavour, do give it a try for all their best sellers as well. For spicy food addicts, the signature Goobne Volcano (RM54.90 whole ; RM32.90 half) will give your taste buds a volcanic sensation. They also offer choices of wings in 8 pieces (RM20.90) or 14 pieces (RM32.90) for all flavours to match everyone’s preference.

A must try for those who are into sweet and spicy flavours, this Goobne Korean Spicy Galbi Sauce (RM54.90 whole ; RM30.90 half) is coated with sweet sauce that comes with a hint of spicy taste. I quite like it.

For cheese lovers, be prepared for a cheesy explosion of deliciousness with the Goobne Deep Cheese (RM54.90 whole ; RM30.90 half). Oven roasted chicken generously coated with cheese powder, a perfect combination for those who would eat cheese with anything!

If you can not tolerate with spicy taste, this Goobne Soy Garlic (RM54.90 whole ; RM30.90 half) would be nice for you to experience oven roasted chicken with crispy coating topped with the shop’s very own soy-garlic sauce.

This Cheese Fondue Chicken (RM61.90) is so luscious especially for the cheese lovers! You get to enjoy juicy sweet and spicy boneless chicken (can choose volcano or soy garlic sauce) in a fondue made of 2 different types of cheese. Remember to twirl the cheese around the chicken for that flavourful enjoyment.

Served with special cream sauce, this beautiful Flying Fish Cheese Egg Roll (RM18.90) is a tasty combination of various cheese rolled up in layers of egg topped with flying fish eggs, one of their side dishes that you must try.

Volcano Cheese Tteok-Bokki (RM32.90), a satisfying Korean rice cake dish that served together with fishcakes and cheese on a hot plate, drenched in spicy volcano sauce to give you that extra hot kick.

Goobne also serves rice and noodle dishes on their menu, including this Japche (RM19.90), a common food in Korean cuisine, flavourful stir fried glass noodles with thinly sliced beef and mushroom.

I like how this dish Chicken Fried Rice with Soy Garlic Sauce (RM18.90) was presented. Waiter will pour the egg on a hot plate in front of customers. Once it is cooked, you can mix well the egg with Goobne signature mild fried rice and chicken before savouring it. They also have Volcano sauce for the spicy lovers not for the faint-hearted.

Diners get to pair their dishes at Goobne Chicken with a selection of beverages including soft drinks, bottle juice, tea, and this RITA (RM19.90), special blueish mocktail with a hungry shark experience.
