Who is Charlie Chaplin?
A legacy who rose to fame in the silent era, Sir Charles Spencer ‘Charlie’ Chaplin was an English comic actor, filmmaker, composer, and is considered one of the most important contributors to the history of film industry.
Being the first international licensed cafe in Malaysia, Charlie Chaplin is one of the latest additions to the restaurants in One City Mall at USJ Subang Jaya, which serves western cuisine at affordable price.

Dim in yellow light, the interior is mostly covered in black color and wooden furniture to give that vintage retro ambiance, reminisce the nostalgic of Charlie Chaplin’s silent-movie era.

Umbrella is one of the signature props in Charlie Chaplin’s movies. Here we see the cafe owner hung the symbolic black color umbrellas from ceiling, it kinda attracts my attention the minute I stepped in, and I were impressed by the idea.

For a healthy start to a delectable meal, we had this Smoke Salmon Salad, with palatable smoked salmon slices, fresh greens, juicy tomatoes, and little bit of cheese plus anchovies to make it more flavorsome, on top of the refreshing homemade raspberry chili dressing.

I was impressed with my next dish that plated beautifully, fresh salmon steak in sweet sour lemon butter sauce. Accompanied by mashed potato and season vegetable at the side, the whole dish was an enjoyable experience with nicely cooked salmon without being too dry and rough the texture.

With base in thin charcoal crust, this signature Charlie Chaplin Pizza was topped with their homemade secret minced beef sauce and covered with generous amount of 100% mozzarella sauce. Love it, and usually I will fold it into half to enjoy a mouthful of cheesy bite on it.
