Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Blue Cow Cafe that’s located in Plaza Damas at Sri Hartamas and sampled some of their mouth-watering signatures.

Serving all the discerning customers since 2006, Blue Cow Cafe offers an inviting, warm and cosy ambience where diners can sit back and relax over some really delicious wholesome meals.

Customers can also buy the freshest premium quality meats from Australia and New Zealand, homemade delicious sausages and burger patties, complimented by the very best fresh local pork, ham and arguably, the most sensational bacon I’ve tasted at the shop itself. The beef are chilled not frozen to maintain the texture quality, and the pork products are beta-agonist free.

With inspiration from Australian cuisine, the foods at Blue Cow Cafe are prepared with the best and freshest of ingredients. I even found this quote from James Beard printed on the front page of their menu as the shop’s motto.

‘There is absolutely no substitue for the best. Good food cannot be make of inferior ingredients masked with high flavor. It is true thrift to use the best ingredients available and to waste nothing.’

Highlighting the fresh delicacies offered in the butchery, diners are spoilt for choices when it comes to dining at Blue Cow Cafe, including soup, salad, burgers, sausages, roast meals, steaks, stews and desserts.

Fresh from the butcher, Blue Cow Cafe serves grain-fed chilled beef and superior quality lamb that are imported from Australia.

OP Ribs Steak (RM120 400gm)

The best steak you will ever have, the oven-prepared rib is a ribeye on the bone. Incredible tender and juicy. Only served rare or medium-rare and only one size… Big!

Tenderloin (RM85)

Considered by some to be the best, the tenderloin is very lean with a delicate ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ bite. Best served rare or medium-rare to ensure the perfect texture.

Ribeye (RM60)

Ribeye steaks are beautifully marbled and have a delicate texture. Less lean than tenderloin but with a lovely rich flavor.

Sirloin (RM55)

Sirloin, Striploin, New York Strip, whatever you call it, this is a great eating meaty steak. Best cooked with fat on to preserve moisture and flavor.

Rump (RM50)

The unsung hero of steak, the rump is juicy, meaty, easily trimmed and full of flavor. Great eating and value for money.

*****

Blue Cow Cafe’s best-seller signature dish Big BBQ Breakfast (RM50) that can only be described as a feast for all the senses, was served with 2 eggs, crispy bacon, handmade sausage, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomato, hash brown, baked beans and toast. Loaded with myriad of flavors and textures, definitely a must order if you dine here!

Simple comfort food that will make your taste buds tremble with pleasure! What I like about the Bangers & Mash (RM30) at Blue Cow Cafe is the wide choices that diners can mix and match according to their favorites.
[portfolio_slideshow include=”14628″]

First, pick your 2 handmade sausages. Blue Cow Cafe offers Pork, Beef, Lamb, Chicken, Italian, Chorizo, Merguez, Farmer, Hunter and Bratwurst to suit the different preferences of customers.

Secondly, choose your mash. It can be Traditional, Cheese, Bacon, Spring Onion, Mustard, Wasabi or Mint. You can finally pick either Traditional, Onion, Mushroom, Pepper or Garlic flavored creamy gravy to complement your mash. Yummy!

*****

All the burgers at Blue Cow Cafe are served with chips and their special coleslaw. We had the Aussie Burger (RM28), which piled high with wonderful ingredients like beef patty, cheese, onion, bacon, egg, beetroot, lettuce and fresh tomato between the homemade burger buns.
[portfolio_slideshow include=”14633″]

Serve in reasonable good portion to satisfy your hunger, Blue Cow Cafe produces their sausages and burger patty with only premium meat cuts such as Australian Beef Brisket, Pork Shoulder, New Zealand Lamb Shoulder and etc. You won’t find any offal, tendon, skin or other nasties here!

This is something interesting I learnt from the owner. Do you know that Australian-styled Iced Coffee is served with ice cream and whipped cream instead of ice cubes. Sinfully sweet and creamy alike milkshake, I quite enjoyed it.
