Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to GTower Hotel for their Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve Set Dinner preview from the Tanzini Restaurant and The Club.
Inspired by the fresh food movement, Tanzini Restaurant advocates a quality approach in presenting its cuisine to diners. The chefs are sourcing out the freshest ingredients possible and preparing them with heart and soul. Be it a corporate gathering or a romantic dinner, Tanzini is your ideal venue for this feative seasons.
The dinner started with a beautifully plated scallop and coconut timbale, an appetizing dish that focused on the use of fresh ingredients to bring out its light and refreshing flavors for healthy feasting.
A nicely done aglio-olio dish with flavourful angle hair wrapped with savoury beef bacon and topped with caviar for that touch of luxury taste. To tantalize your taste buds even more, the yabbies is waiting for you at the side.
Zuppa di Pesce, a tasty classic seafood soup with prawns, squids, clams, and lots of tomatoes.
Stuffed Rolled Turkey with Polenta, Stewed Lentils and Cranberry Sauce. To my surprise, this turkey meat is tender in texture, not the dry and rough type that you would get from the roasted whole turkey.
A fascinating main dish Sous-vide Lamb rolled with Polenta, served elegantly together with Cannellini Bean Puree and Au Jus. Tender and flavourful, without the strong lamb taste that I don’t really enjoy it.
Remember to leave some room for the sweet ending to wrap up your festive dinner and enjoy the finest indulgence of Orange Creme Brulee and Mixed Valrhona.

A beautiful dish, Scampi and Fiddlehead Ferns Salador, featuring marinated grilled sea prawn infused with classic kerabu pucuk paku salad. I like the presentation idea of serving it in a pie tee shell, very colourful and easy to eat in one mouthful.
Delightful Ox Tail Soup, an Asian inspired soup infused with Malaysian spices and herbs.
Cappone Ripieno “Percik Style”, with twice cooked stuffed chicken breast, Russet potato cake, semi-dried tomatoes, spinach and fusion ‘percik’ dressing.
Pesce Al Cartoccio, a brined King Barammundi fillet dish infused with ‘asam pedas’ salsa verde style
The dinner closed with perfect ending as chef served the ‘Bandung Poach Pyrus’ for our Christmas Sweet Temptations. It is a Poached Pear in Manuka Honey, Bentong Ginger infused with Rose and paired with Mini Petit Cheese Cake and Homemade Artisan Chocolates at side.
