Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant in One World Hotel Petaling Jaya and sampled some of their chef’s recommended dishes.
A firm fixture in Chinese fine dining, it’s impossible to talk about high-end Chinese restaurants in Petaling Jaya without mentioning Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant. With a team of dedicated master chefs at the helm, the restaurants continue to delight patrons with traditional fare crafted with an innovative twist served in a stylish setting.
Such a beautiful dish plated with colourful edible flowers, the succulent Sautéed Prawns (RM68) were skewered together with Asparagus, Truffle Paste and Honey Walnuts. Something interesting I would say for modern Chinese cuisine.
If you like lamb, then you should not miss this dish, the Braised Lamb Brisket (RM68) with water chestnuts, mushrooms and fried bean curd. Served in claypot, I like its wonderful texture, and the meat does not have strong gamey taste like others.
Steamed “Live” Dragon Garoupa Fillet Roll (RM33 per 100g) in Egg White Sauce and Red Tobiko. The presentation of this fish is really convenient to eat and suitable for diner like me who dislike bones.
Bentong ginger is known for its premium quality, mellow flavour and higher nutritions. The filling of these Pan Fried Mini Chicken Buns (RM15) was mixed together with Bentong ginger and wood fungus to create that appetizing flavour to keep you wanting for more!
Also known as Ma Lai Gao, this Chinese Steamed Sponge Cake (RM15) was made with Organic Molasses Sugar to give diners a healthier choice of sweet treat.
Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant serves all-day dim sum with premium ingredients, continues to build its reputation as one of the hottest spots to be. Be prepared for the heart to be touched with charming treats like Steamed Phoenix Eye Dumpling with Water Chestnut and Goose Liver, Steamed Hong Kong Rice Roll with Chinese Breadstick and Chicken Floss, Steamed Signature Siew Mai with Flying Fish Roe, as well as Pan-Fried Bun with Minced Chicken and Assorted Vegetable to name a few.
These Chef’s Recommendations are stars on the menu for the month of March. It is available for lunch (12 noon to 2:30 pm) and dinner (6 pm to 10:30 pm). For reservation or enquiries, please call 603-7681 1159 or email zuanyuan@oneworldhotel.com.my.
