Newly opened in December 2023, Hotel Indigo Kuala Lumpur on the Park made its mark as IHG Hotels & Resorts 150th Hotel Indigo globally and the brand’s first in Malaysia’s capital city.
The 180-room urban oasis overlooks picturesque Bukit Nanas and is home to Wok Star and The Silver Monkey – two unique restaurant and bar offering diners a melting pot of Malaysia’s incredible multicultural cuisine.
As the Year of the Dragon approaches, their elevated street dining restaurant Wok Star invites diners on a journey to discover traditional flavours with a modern twist for a truly star-studded celebration.
From 29 January to 24 February 2024, chose to indulge in the heart of the city or takeaway with a well-balanced Celestial 5-course Set Menu and a selection of Heavenly Yee Sangs to usher in the Lunar New Year with your loved ones.
Wok Star’s Celestial Prosperity 5-Course Set Menu
Inspired by Kuala Lumpur’s rich cultural heritage and the traditions of Chinese New Year, Executive Chef Ahmad Zaim has thoughtfully curated a contemporary 5-course menu that will set diners on an elevated nostalgia voyage. It is priced at RM328 nett for 2 persons, RM888 nett for 6 persons, and RM145 nett for each additional pax.
He also pays nuance to Hotel Indigo ideology of celebrating the neighbourhood and to discover, or rediscover, by incorporating local farm-to-table ingredients into the diverse menu.
The Celestial Prosperity hits the mark with its high-quality offerings, starting with Abundance Delight – Baby Octopus, Mango Salad, Fish Maw and Caramelised Honey Sesame, followed by the classic Prosperity Hot and Sour Soup – served with a Steamed Bao Bun.
Leading into the main course, Executive Chef Ahmad Zaim has spared no expense with the three contrasting premium selections, which will be served with his signature Ong Lai Yong Chow Fried Rice.
Select between the Dragon Snapper – served with Fern Bok Choy, King Mushroom, Local Salad and Nyonya Sauce. This signature dish is a Chinese New Year favourite and features a unique combination of sweet and savoury that will leave diners salivating.
For poultry lovers, savour between two options with their Roasted Chicken, a symphony of textures and flavours with Succulent Chicken, Young Mango, Sweet Chilli, Prawn Crackers, and Sesame — a perfect balance of succulence and crunch in every bite.
Or go with, the pièce de resistance: Golden Poultry. This opulent dish features Roasted Duck with Baby Kailan, Mushroom Mousse, Black Ginger, and a drizzle of Honey Sesame.
To end the evening on a sweet note, diners will explore a decadent Blossom Citrus – served with a Banana Crumble, Honey Pineapples and Green Tea Puree; a dessert that is an unexpected crowd pleaser.

The higher the toss, the greater the fortune. Wok Star and The Silver Monkey have both prepared an assortment of celebratory Yee Sang for diners to gain in wealth for the auspicious dragon year.
Upholding traditions, Wok Star will present two classic Yee Sang with their Festive Yee Sang ((RM108 for 5 pax ; RM180 for 10 pax) and Abundance Yee Sang (RM188 for 5 pax ; RM228 for 10 pax), topped with luxurious Salmon and Tuna slices for an abundance in life, year after year.
For an unconventional choice, drawing influences from the popular local Rojak dish, surprise your guests with the Prosperity Yee Sang (RM138 for 5 pax ; RM228 for 10 pax) topped with an exotic mix of fresh and dried fruits that is native to Malaysia.
At The Silver Monkey, Master Lutong Fortune Toss (RM130 for 5 pax ; RM208 for 10 pax) offers diner a grandeur Yee Sang with Crispy Foie Gras toppings. Fried to perfection, these toppers are light, airy, and whimsical – oozing opulence in every bite.
