Belcolade, the Real Belgian Chocolate brand of Puratos, recently held a magical chocolate tasting experience. The occasion celebrated the official unveiling of the new brand identity for Belcolade – Puratos’s Real Belgian chocolate brand, which offered an afternoon of flavourful adventure across continents.
The event was graced by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Peter Van Acker, Ambassador of Belgium to Malaysia, who officiated this one-of-a-kind chocolate appreciation event.
Belgian chocolate enjoys an extraordinary reputation in the world. For Puratos, chocolate has always been a passion. It was a clear choice to cherish the Belgian tradition of manufacturing chocolate and to invest in producing chocolate in Belgium even when its products are sold in over 100 countries in the world.
The guests were welcomed with arrays of refreshment, made with Puratos’s range of Bakery items and hand-crafted Real Belgian Citrus Fromage shots. One of the key highlights of the program was the astonishment of the official launch of Belcolade’s new branding via the percussion LED drum play.

“The Cacao-Trace chocolate takes taste to a whole new level of excellence thanks to a unique fermentation process that guarantees the best cocoa quality and enhances the flavors of every chocolate drop. Our unique Chocolate Bonus and Quality Premium result in life changing impact for our cocoa farmers,” Rahier added in explaining the significance of The Cacao-Trace Sustainable Cocoa program, Great Taste, Doing Good.
Alongside these impactful sustainable initiatives on the cocoa supply chain, Belcolade built its first carbon-neutral Belgian chocolate factory, operating on 100% renewable electricity, it eliminates the need for fossil fuels. Thanks to extensive underground rainwater storage, it sources 90% of its water from collected rainwater, amongst other future-forward sustainability considerations. On top of that, Belcolade’s new 100% recycle-ready packaging reflects the company’s determination to reduce its environmental footprint and make a positive impact on the planet.
In addition to its commitment to sustainability, Belcolade is a brand meticulously crafted by professionals, for professionals. The presented product creations are born from collaborative efforts, crafted alongside chocolatiers, pastry chefs and bakers who remain attuned to the latest consumer trends.
