Last few weeks, I went to Murad’s Sunway Pyramid outlet to try out their Murad Method Facial, a customized facial system that’s designed to make skin as healthy as it can be from the inside out. I had experienced their Vita-C Quenching Facial before (to drastically brighten, even skin-tone, and reduce wrinkles while increasing radiance), and it was a very pleasant session.

Murad is a dermatologist-developed brand with a unique take on skin health based on the founder Dr. Howard Murad’s 4 main pillars of wellness – nourish your skin, eat your water, awaken your body, and be kind to your mind. Clinically proven results science-backed wellness, their facials are uniquely designed personalized facial treatments because not all skin-types are similar.

The waiting corner is spacious and comfortable. I read some Murad’s booklets and catalogues while waiting for my facial session.

After filling out a form, their skin consultant performed an extensive skin health assessment to fully understand my skin concerns first as she wanted to focus on my overall well-being to ensure healthier-looking skin.

Not all skin-types are created equally, so why should our facial be? Murad Method Facial System is highly customizable instead of staying within a set protocol for one skin type. This protocol uses our skin type to guide the selections in the Cleanse & Tone and Hydrate & Protect, and our skin concerns to decide the next steps in the Treat & Repair and Final Mask.

The process mainly involves 4 steps :

1. M.U.R.A.D Skin Analysis
5 techniques that identifies dehydration, loss of firmness, lines and wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, and congestion.

2. Unique Whole-Person Care
Personalized Recipes that match the skin concerns and how to maintain clear skin and prevent skin concerns.

3. Unmatched Personalization
Therapist addresses specific needs for my skin health and overall wellness of the skin.

4. Advanced Massage and Rituals
Combination of Relaxing and Breathing Rituals (Yoga) followed by Branded Cleansing Rituals.

I had a relaxing facial session that took around 75 minutes to complete by my skin consultant Ms Nikki. She is caring and gentle, making sure that I feel comfortable during the whole process.
