Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently had the chance to spend a weekend at the KSL Esplanade Hotel. You know how sometimes you just need a little break without wanting to travel too far? This place hit the spot for that because the hotel also offers San Onsen, a great way to relax at an affordable rate.

It is a 4-star hotel located at Bandar Bestari, Klang, Selangor, somewhere a bit outside the main hustle and bustle of Klang town, which for me, was a good thing. It felt peaceful, yet it was still easy enough to get around if I needed to.

Check-in was a breeze at their bright, spacious lobby – always a plus after a long week! The staff were friendly and efficient, getting me sorted out quickly and with a smile.

The hotel is connected to the KSL Esplanade Mall where you can just walk right in! This was super convenient for grabbing a bite to eat, doing a little shopping, or just wandering around. There are plenty of restaurants and shops, so you definitely won’t get hungry or bored.

We had our dinner at SORA Sky Dining Restaurant & Bar, which is located on Level 23 of the KSL Esplanade Hotel.

The restaurant offers Japanese Fusion cuisine, and we ordered their SORA Set Menu for 2 which serves a few delicious dishes like Smoked Duck, Yakitori Chicken, Lady Finger, Asian Chili Garlic Octopus, Salmon Kale Salad, and Carbonara / Bolognese, with 2 glasses of House Drink @ RM138 or House Wine @ RM168.

What really stood out for me was the panoramic view of Klang and the obstruction-free sunset view, making our dining session a truly unforgettable experience.

Breakfast at the hotel was pretty decent too. Birch Restaurant on level 3A had a good spread of local and international options, so there was something for everyone. It’s always nice to start the day with a good meal without having to venture out.

Overall, my staycation at KSL Esplanade Hotel was a pleasant surprise. It’s a comfortable, modern hotel with good facilities, and that onsen experience was a real highlight.

If you’re looking for a relaxing staycation in the Klang area with easy access to shopping and dining, this place is definitely worth considering.
