Themed “Sajian Tradisi”, this value-for-money deal is set to take guests on a culinary journey that will reignite the spirit of breaking fast among Malaysians – from serving the customary Zam Zam water and assorted dates, to preparing more than 100 eclectic mix of Arabic, Western, and Chinese dishes that have been identified as all-time favorites.

Sizzling Claypot, Assorted Dim Sum, Traditional La Mian (pulled noodle), Tandoori Chicken, Kari Kepala Ikan Mangga Muda, Gulai Kawah Tetel, Siput Sedut Masak Lemak Cili Api, Satay, and Ikan Bakar are among some of the local favorites to be featured in the spread. For lemang aficionados, sample different types of lemang such as Lemang Sarawak, Lemang Pulut Hitam, Lemang Jagung, and not forgetting the traditional lemang served with Sime Darby Convention Centre’s famous rendang “kuali”. Also, pop by at the ketupat palas stall to see live action ketupat making by the chefs.

What is Ramadhan without the popular bubur lambuk? The team of chefs headed by Chef Faisal Ismail have given the traditional bubur lambuk a healthy twist. This very light and soupy Bubur Lambuk is perfect as starters.

Apart from hot and tantalizing dishes, a unique feature this year will be the beverage stall “Warung Helmi Blender” that is believed to have been inspired by regulars at Sime Darby Convention Centre who likes to opt for the healthier fruit smoothie as a means of getting re-energized after a day of fasting.

For those with sweet cravings, a wide variety of mouth-watering desserts await such as Nyonya and Malay kuih, French pastries, delicious cakes, puddings, and for a healthier option – an array of local fruits. A permanent feature at the buffet line on popular demand will be the Ice Cream Goreng stall and ABC offering more than 30 types of condiments and assorted syrups!

“The key attraction of our buffet is not only the variety but our emphasis is on the quality of the food we serve to our customers. As we become more conscious of today’s need state of our customers, we put it onto ourselves to constantly improve and develop menus that will cater to all.” said Faisal.

Like in previous years, the Sime Darby Convention Centre will also extend the chance for guests to sample some of these popular Ramadhan dishes at home, with ready-to-go meals available from 3 pm to 5 pm daily during that month. The Bazaar will showcase meals starting from RM5 and above, making it affordable for everyone.

The “Buka Puasa Buffet” will start from the second day of Ramadhan from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm and is priced at RM80++ per person. Group bookings and corporate packages are also available during Ramadhan and for open house celebration. Book early to avoid disappointment!
