Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently joined few blogger friends for their birthday celebration at Cincin, a double storey cozy and elegant restaurant at Cheras (opposite Leisure Mall) that serves fine western cuisine and good selection of premium wines.
Means cheer in Italian, Cincin is an interesting and memorable name to me. Ground floor is mainly for beer and casual dining, while first floor is the elegantly furnished Wine Lounge where singlets and flip-flops are not allowed as they have strict smart casual dress code.
Paired with meaty luncheon fries, we began our dinner with the Caesar Salad dressed in savoury cream cheese sauce.
Savoury Clear Soup served with leek, fresh Shittake mushrooms and premium truffle oil for the extra fragrance.
Soft and juicy, Portobello is one of my favourite mushrooms. Chef grilled the Portobello Mushroom with his unique savoury sauce and topped with crispy bacon bits and cheese sprinkles. So delicious, one piece is definitely not enough.
For mains, taking pride in serving only quality food, this Poached Salmon with White Wine Broth is another highlight especially to the fish lovers for its captivating texture and aromatic fragrant broth. Committed to deliver satisfaction to meat lovers, try chef’s specialty Grilled Lamb Rack accompanied with red wine rosemary sauce for a mouth-watering experience unlike any other. The lamb rack was grilled perfectly to my liking with tender juicy meat that is sure to leave your senses craving for more!
Beautiful dessert with twist of Asian influence in its intriguing flavours. This is my first time sampling the creamy soft Creme Brulee in hojicha taste with matcha powder, fresh fruits and edible flowers attractively placed on top as garnishing. Very interesting!
As pretty as it sounds like, Ballerina is a meringue dessert with fresh fruits and edible flowers artistically presented around the white shell, something little sweet to end the wonderful night at Cincin Restaurant.
We had the Padre Pedro Reserva Branco and Aldeya Tinto to complement our dining indulgence that night. The wine connoisseur at Cincin Restaurant came to our table and explained to us on the wine pairing while we had our meals. I am impressed with their wide selection of wines (check out www.wine2u.com.my). You can even get a cheaper price if you want to purchase your favourite wine at Cincin to bring back home.
