Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Eatropica at Menara 1 Sentrum, Nu Sentral to try out some of their signatures. It is a place not only for good foods and drinks, but to take a break and unwind as well, have a business lunch or enjoy wonderful meal with family and friends.

Living in a cosmopolitan city, sometimes all people long for is just a place that is honest, casual and above all, easy to be in, a quiet hide-away. That is exactly what Eatropica is. Here, every dish is crafted with love and respect for the ingredient, which reflects the hard work and dedication from chef and the entire team.

The dining area is so spacious with high ceiling and lots of window panels. It allows natural lighting brighten up this chic restaurant to create a warm soothing environment.

Served with choice of brown rice or white rice, their Classic Nasi Lemak (RM15) with chicken rendang and traditional condiments is the perfect selection if you have no idea what to order from Eatropica’s menu. Fragrant curry with spicy sambal, this local favourite dish is bound to whet your appetite during the lunch hours.

Choosing one is pretty tough since there are so many delicious varieties at Eatropica. To satisfy your cravings for spicy food, you can order this popular dish Curry Laksa (RM15) that comes with yellow noodles, chicken, cockle and bean sprouts. Available during lunch hours only from 12 noon to 3 pm, it is inclusive of a glass of ice lemon tea or lemonade drink.

Eatropica also serves western delights in their lunch menu (comes with a glass of ice lemon tea or lemonade drinks), which include Spaghetti Olio Style, Spinach Risotto, Pan Fried Fish, Braised Chicken, and my favourite Penne Carbonara (RM20) with turkey bacon and parmesan cheese. The creaminess is on the light side, just nice for my liking.

Cooked till tender Melting Moroccan Lamb Shank (RM36), served together with sweet potato mash and housemade apricot chutney to give the dish a nice subtle of sweet flavour.

For those who are on KETO diet, Eatropica offers few char-grilled KETO friendly dishes like this thick-cut Maguro Tuna Steak (RM45 for 180 grams) that served together with salsa verde, watercress salad and English styled chips. The wasabi aioli gives a beatiful hint of spiciness and turns the dish into an interesting one.

Ketogenic diet is a combination of high-fat, adequate-protein, and low-carbohydrate diet. Hence, this Sirloin Steak Grain Fed (RM74 for 250 grams) that is equal in both nutritional values and tastiness is perfect for beef lovers to fulfill their diet. Explore the variety of different tastes of this quality beef with sauces like black pepper sauce, mustard, garlic sauce or the mustard Hollandaise sauce.

A meal would not be completed without a sweet ending. Served with butterscotch sauce and topped with vanilla ice cream, this Sticky Dates Pudding (RM15) is not overwhelming sweet with an interesting texture to indulge.
