Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Nook at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral for their ‘A Lofty Christmas’ festive fare that will be offered from 1 till 30 December 2018.
Celebrate the jolliest time of the year with a cornucopia of festive offerings at Nook, which include traditional festive dishes on the buffet spread with Nook’s local specialty dishes complementing the spread to satiate everyone’s taste buds.
The holiday spread this season will include a range of meat selections on the carving station from Roasted Lamb Leg with Yorkshire Pudding, Sauteed Brussel Sprouts and Black Pepper sauce, Garlic and Herbs Crusted Roast Beef Sirloin with Mushroom sauce and Oven-Roasted Baste Turkey with Roasted Pumpkin, Sauteed Beans, Cranberry and Giblet sauce, Pan-fried Fish with Capers Cream sauce, Osso Bucco, Black Mussel Aglio Olio.
Festive diners can also sink their forks into the selection of hot Western casserole dishes including Chicken Shepherd’s Pie, Beef Stroganoff, Seafood Lasagne, Lamb and Mushroom Ragout, Boxing Chicken in Teriyaki Sauce, and a variety of pastas and pizzas for a sumptuous dining through December at Nook.
Nook will also offer Asian flavours to the spread this December. The menu will include Rendang Ayam, Sambal Udang Petai, Braised Lamb Shank with Sze Chuan Sauce, Singapore Chilli Crab, Briyani Rice, Eggplant Masala, Sarawak Laksa, Steamed Red Snapper with Lime and Ginger and more.
Nook’s Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas Day Lunch will feature an enhanced festive spread with the star at every Christmas feast, a Roasted Turkey. This year, Chef Ahmed Zaki, Nook’s Sous Chef, will be serving up the Oven-Roasted Orange Brine Turkey for the Christmas special with an assortment of condiments including Roasted Vegetable and Apple Chestnut Stuffing, Giblet Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Natural Jus, Hollandaise Sauce, House-Pickled Onions, English Mustard and Horseradish Sauce.
A festive feast is never complete without desserts. Nook’s selection of sweet offerings for this Christmas season features an assortment of tarts, pies, cakes and trifles. Diners can indulge in Lemon Meringe Tart, Pecan Nut Tart, Peach Tart, Pies – Apple, Pumpkin and Pecan – and other scrumptious desserts including Christmas Chocolate Log Cake, Vanilla Yule Log, Cappuccino Cheesecake, Lemon and Mascarpone Cheese Cake, Pistachio Mille Feuille, Cinnamon Spice and Cream Cheese Roulade, Butterscotch Trifle, Fruit Triffle, Apple and Cranberry Gallette, Mixed Berry Pavlova, Cake Pops and many other delectable treats.
Priced at RM118 nett per adult, Nook’s ‘A Lofty Christmas’ dinner buffet spread is available from 1 – 30 December 2018 from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm. The Christmas Eve’s Buffet Dinner is priced at RM128 nett per adult and Christmas Day’s Lunch Spread is priced at RM98 nett per adult from 12 noon to 2.30 pm.
