Amongst the ever-increasing number of food outlets in Dataran Sunway Kota Damansara lays the Okuchi Japanese Restaurant that serve authentic traditional Japanese cuisine. It is just walking distance from Sunway Giza Mall, so preferably to have your car park at its basement if you do not want to drive around looking for the metered car park.

Okuchi is a humble restaurant serving really nice and quality food, so do remember to make your reservation first before come to dine in as the restaurant does not have big spacious seating area.

Never thought sesame soy dressing can match so well with vegetable. This simple boiled spinach Horenso No Goma – Ae (RM8) with sesame sprinkled on top really impressed me.
Good for beer or sake’s snack, the Shake Kawa Karaage (RM6), deep fried crispy salmon skin that tasted saltiness because of the seasonings.
Another nicely done Chuka Itako (RM6 for 70g), a quite common tidbit in Japanese cuisine, seasoned baby octopus with sweetish flavor.

Crispy Tidbit Fried Anchovies Shirauo Karaage (RM12).
The signature classic dish in Japanese cuisine, Chawan Mushi (RM6), steamed egg custard with seafood and chicken. Enjoy it while served hot. Delicious!
Satiny smooth Tamago Tofu (RM5), simple yet comforts.

Fried dumplings Yaki Gyoza (RM12). Love the chef own mixed of trid vinegar and chili oil sauce, truly bring out the nice flavor of the fillings.
Refreshing healthy Tomato Salad (RM11) with the natural sweet sourish taste of juicy tomato.
Another delectable appetizer with sweet sourly taste, Tako Su (Nomono) (RM20), a vinegared boiled octopus that served together with seaweed and pickled cucumber.

Nicely grilled skewered chicken and vegetables Yaki Tori (RM9) with salt and sweetened soy sauce, perfect match with a glass of cold beer.
Another awesome beer snack, Ika Geso Kushi-Yaki (RM12), the chewy grilled squid tentacles.
The special sauce, own mixed sweetened soy sauce, was awesome on this grilled Unagi Kabayaki (RM38)!

Nicely roll Spider Maki (RM25) with soft shell crab, wish the portion can be smaller a bit to have that one mouthful of satisfaction!
Iso Zukuri Funamori (Tokuju) (RM160), with 30 slices of assorted fresh raw fish & ikura presented nicely on a wooden boat serving. All are thick cut to give diners the bite feeling, including Yellow Tail, Tuna, White Tuna, Octopus, Salmon and Salmon Roe. Awesome!
Tempura Moriawase (RM21) with assorted selection of prawn, fish, and vegetable tempura. Tasty with the nice mixture and not so thick of batter used.
