Derived its name from the location of their own pig farm in Kluang Johor, Sanbanto has already been in business for 4 years serving some of the nicest pork dishes in town. Upon requests from its regular customers, Sanbanto recently extended its business hours and offers 6 different types of teatime set menu for the diners to choose from.
Made with own-produced quality pork meat, Sanbanto continues to deliver an interesting teatime set menu that comes in various flavors and textures to cater each of their customers’ different taste buds. Paying close attention to even the smallest detail, each set is beautifully plated to thrill both the eyes and appetite.
Enjoy an array of tea time sets that made available from Tuesday to Sunday 3 pm to 5:30 pm. Each set is priced at RM13.90++ with a cup of coffee or tea, and the options are long back, espresso, earl grey, chamomile, jasmine or peppermint tea.
So do drop by Sanbanto at SS2 Petaling Jaya or The Pork Place at IOI Boulevard Puchong if you are around the area, and your stomach is growling for some light teatime snack to munch on.
Rolled with tortilla skin, chef braised the pork slices in Yakiniku sauce first before deep fried it till a nice golden brown. Best enjoyed while served hot before the crispy outer layer turned soggy, the juicy tender pork filling tasted just nice in a delightful Asian flavor.
Boiled Egg, Ham, and Cheese Open Sandwich
For diners with light appetite, try to opt for this colorful multigrain bread sandwich with simple and healthy ingredients like sliced boiled egg, pickled cabbage, honey glazed ham, and cheese served on top.
Influenced from the Mexican cuisine, chef filled the tacos with well-seasoned ground pork and placed cheddar cheese on top before baked it to a nice perfection. Complemented by the drizzled sour cream and balsamic reduction, this is one of my favorites from Sanbanto’s teatime menu set.
Scrambled Egg, Cheese, and Pocolina on Mini Croissant
This soft puffy mini croissant teatime set served in 2 varieties of stuffing, one is scrambled egg and cheese, another one is Sanbanto’s version of Pocolina, pork made to taste like tuna by cooking it with white wine and olive oil to enhance its taste and texture.
Scrambled Egg, Spinach, and Bacon Bits In A Basket
A savory type of hearty pastry, chef filled the crispy basket with spinach that simmered in cream first and bacon bits, then covered it on top a layer of creamy scrambled egg and parmesan cheese. I had it in a mouthful and enjoyed how all the different textures mixed so well together.
Apple and Pork Tart
Diffusing a tempting aroma and taste, chef cooked the fresh apple and pork first together with fragrant spices before baked it in the soft flaky pastry. Love how the mixed spices complimented well the apple’s natural sweetness, scrumptious!
