Filled with dimly lit yellow lights, customers were surrounded by a numerous of unique antiques, like the wooden clock that hung on the rustic cement wall, old magnifying glass at the ordering counter, a one-door small classic refrigerator near the entrance and so many more, which I found it enjoyable to admire it piece by piece, guessing its history and making up stories inside my little head.

Refreshing Papaya Salad (RM9) and Mango Salad (RM9) in Thai style that can instantly opened up your appetite with its enticing spicy and sweet sourish taste. I personally prefer the Mango Salad simply because the roasted peanuts gave a nice crunchy bite to the overall texture. Yummy!

Cakes and pastries were too mainstream, how about the light textured refreshing jelly? Doiffee served some nice jellies at the chilled counter, like this Coffee Delight (RM10), a Koi fish shaped jelly made by espresso coffee and milk, hence you can taste a delightful mixture of bitter sweet flavor. Priced at RM5 for 4 pieces, these Emerald Jellies were rich in santan with the aromatic pandan taste as background note.

Drunken Seafood Spaghetti (RM18)

Wonderful pasta dish with nice Asian-influenced flavor. Served together with succulent fresh prawns, scallop and cuttle fish, chef stir fried the spaghetti with basil, red wine, peppercorn and bird eye chili to give it a Thai-alike addictive taste that really impressed me.

Doiffee, which ‘doi’ literally means mountain in Thai, was a cafe with its own homey characteristic, a warm and relaxing place to meet up over comfort food, great coffee and have loads of laughs.
