Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Palace of the Golden Horses to sample their delightful Valentine’s Promotions, where Chef Wilfred Lim & his kitchen brigade has prepared 3 unique yet equally captivating offerings to melt the hearts of guests dining at this five-star hotel set in a lovely resort environment by the lakeside.

For a romantic & intimate setting, opt to dine at the regal Grand Salon Lobby Lounge and enjoy a 7-course set dinner (RM168 nett per person) with your loved one on the Eve of Valentine’s Day (13 February).
* Lobster & Fennel Salad
* Consomme of Clear Essence of Chicken with Quenelle, Black Truffle & Angel Hair Vegetables
* Seafood Ravioli with Saffron Cream & Crustacean Sauce
* Refreshing Lime & Calamansi Sherbet with Orange Candy & Fresh Mint
For the main course, choose the ‘From The Sea’ option consisting of Roasted Monk Fish Fillet & Grilled King Prawn with Olive Oil, Dry Ceps Mushroom, Chili Flakes, Garlic Confit and Fresh Herbs.

Or the ‘Lamb & Boletus’ dish of Oven-Roasted Rack of Lamb with Porcini Mushroom Ragout, Garlic-Mashed, Baby Vegetables & Rosemary Balsamic Sauce.

Sweeten up the meal with Belgian Chocolate Pralinosa Cake served with a healthy dose of Strawberry Coulis, Fresh Fruits & Vanilla Ice-Cream on Toasted Crumble.

You can also choose to celebrate the eve Valentine’s Day with family and friends at Kin No Uma Japanese Restaurant with a mesmerizing Love Buffet offering more than 100 items on the menu. At a modest price of RM138 nett per person, the Love Buffet offers a live Tempura station, live Nabe Mono station, live Noodles counter, Sashimi counter, an assortment of Sushi, Soups and a Yakimono counter.

Main dishes on the buffet line include Grilled Lamb Cutlets with BBQ Sauce, Japanese Garlic Fried Rice, Kin No Uma Baked Oyster, Grilled Chicken Teriyaki, Deep Fried Prawn Kataifi with Mango Sauce and Sauteed Squid with Broccoli, Garlic and Chili. Not a person who celebrates Valentine’s Day but i think the best way to celebrate it is a quiet one, home cooked meal for the loved one. More special ma.

The King Prawn looks so huge and fresh ler! I can’t believe that after CNY is Valentines~ Better plan what to do during Valentines, maybe drop by visit Golden Horses =D

Oh the Monk Fish Fillet looks amazing. The setting seems great as well – what a lovely place to spend Valentines Day 🙂
